Here is a pic from a morning hike this morning. My new MX clip that was replaced by Victorinox since the first one had loose pliers.  This one is all tight and perfect.

Thanks MrToolJunkie

I haven't had the pleasure of carrying it much yet. I got some time off work, so I mostly stick with the ArmBar for the orange challenge. Really looking forward to the Spirit challenge to give it a go :tu:

Yes. This Spirit has a bit of history behind it. Forum member J-Sews modified the clip onto it many years ago, then Grant got it, then me, is the short version  8) I've had it a few years now but its history is quite interesting. :ahhh

G'Day guys,

I am looking for a very specific Spirit. I read in the Wiki that there is a Spirit XBS that does NOT have the cap crimper plier head with reference: 3.0224.xxx. I can only see the regular XBS on various sites that has the CC plier head. I see the MXBS has a scissors, but I don't really need / want the second rescue blade. That version has a regular plier head. Searches on the interweb did not bring the specific version up either.

Is this an older model, and if so are they still available for sale?

Basically I'm looking for a BO version of the regular Spirit X or a MX in BO.

Cheers, Pete

MX, X BO CC, OG  I love them all, but the MX takes the cake despite the 3mm shorter blade.

How do you like the pocket clip? I’ve been meaning to get one for one of my spirits but haven’t yet.
If the trees blew down the wind and no one was around, would the alphabet song really go backwards?

The pocket clip is excellent and has greatly improved the Spirit for me, transforming my daily carry options.  I don't like having pouches on my belt except when working outdoors, and now that I have pocket clips I carry a Spririt much more than I did previously, at home and at the office.  It holds tightly with no movement of the tool in my pocket, but is also easy to clip/unclip with just the right resistance.  The only reason I haven't added one to my OG Spirit is that it is dedicated to a Skinth M-Shield loadout, shown below.

An odd thing about the MX Clip model is that Victorinox attaches the clip to the "wrong" side of tool, IMO, but I believe they do that for easier packaging in the blister pack and obviously it is easily swapped to the other side.

Excellent photo and load out.

Not so excellent memory, that is a Large Shield in case anyone is looking to copy or some such.
