Cleaning gutters? Just hearing that makes me glad I'll be moving sooner or later. I would not want to clean the gutters in my present house.

The Spirit sure has been earning its keep lately! :tu:

It was quite the job. Not wanting to do it again for a long time.

For all the work the Spirits done on the house just these past 2 months it’s worth its weight in gold. Works just as well for most of what I’ve done as dedicated tools.

I picked up this Spirit RT in a pawn shop yesterday.  Same tool set as Spirit X but has a polished blue/black finish on the handles that has been described as looking like anthracite and the blade is etched with, "Your Companion for Life on the Road."  Got the original, black faux leather pouch with it too. :D

Victorinox should buy that second photo from you. Could be the cover of their catalog. Great photo.

Used the Spirit today to trouble shoot no hot water.  Had to jump the thermostat to kick on the circulator.

Given this was first thing in the morning and I’m in the US, the Spirit became the Thanksgiving carry.

since picking up this Spirit MX Clip i've not touched my SwissChamp, Farmer X or SwissTool Standard!

the OHO blade has come in handy so many times already. The pliers are amazing, the tools all lock, the size and weight are perfect for EDC and clipped in the pocket you forget it's there.

I think this Spirit MX Clip is the ONE

:like:  :iagree: At least with everything save the OHO as I don’t have one of those. It’s still possible to open the non OHO with one hand if you really need to, which isn’t as easy or possible on non OHO Leatherman. I had a feeling you’d be impressed with the spirit.

It is nice. For some reason I prefer the non- OHO version...fits sleeker in my pocket.

The scissors on my Spirit are getting a little gunked up. What is the easiest way to clean them without releasing the spring? I think the spring is tough to get back in place once loose.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I have soaked mine in hot soapy water for about 5 minutes and scrubbed with a toothbrush.  Bristles get in between the blades to the pivot. I have this small bench top vise that held the tool and submerged the scissor blades.

Yes -  this is what I do - dry everything and apply the Vic oil and good as new.

I have had my Spirit for almost 4 years, but I have not carried it until recently. Which is a shame, because I do like it a lot.

:like: I don’t hide my love for the Spirit.  The chisel/scraper/stripper is my favorite part of it.  I’ve been using mine daily for a few weeks in the lab on a wiring project. It’s by no means faster than a wire stripper, but still handy.

I might have convinced my former electrical engineering student she needs one.  Given how much time she’s volunteered over the years I might give her one of my spares as a thank you.

Got mine today out of the DHL Packstation, seems like Amazon got quite some issues whit Victorinox Boxes, mine got some damage sadly, but as the Tool is just a piece of Metal, its still fine .. ,  .. looks nice, and i got the Extra Stuff some how in my EDC Pouch: Ratschet, Bits, Korkscrew, Extender,  but this Bit Holder is maybe a tiny bit too big for my EDC Pouch, its fits, but Not that good ..

Getting the Pocketclip installed was a bit fiddly : You have to get this tiny screw on the Inside of the Scale, i wonder how other would get this done ..

Pictures maybe tomorrow ..

Victorinox Swisstool Spirit X + Ratschett ..

If leatherman offered same type of chisel/scraper tool I’d carry that model more frequently. Would’ve been a great option for the Arc.  The Spirit is much more well rounded for what I use a PBMT for.

Well after i did order the Swisstool, i rode on an Amazon Rezession on it that there is also an 2Hand Leatherman Surge, but when i look on the Pictures on the 2Hand Leatherman its just looks like the normal One Hand Version .. ,

The Scales on my Swisstool are looking a bit "dirty", might be its got some condentation as it was lying outside for 4 hours in the Paket Trawer until i took it home..

The Shissel Tool got some nice additions, Box Opener, a tool to remove stuff from a Cable .. , i just wish my Fingernails where a bit thougher again after i did short them on Weekend, some times the Tools are a bit stiff to fold out ..

Another nice thing is that its got 2 Holes on the Hinge side for the Pliers: One can get used for the Clip, and the other for the Korkscrew, if needed ..

I wonder anyway how good this Korkscrew works, i know them only fold out on an normal SAK, and i dont trink Wine, but this one gets just attached..
But this means i dont need to carry another Middle Size SAK to have the Korkscrew when im Camping ..,

My thoughts on the Ratchet will get written in the Challenge Thread, its also a nice Tool..

I bough the Swisstool whit the Nylon Belt Pouch, but i think i will not use it as its makes the whole package much too big .., better to clip in the Spirit X and have the Ratschett/Bitholder in an seperate EDC Pouch..

   can not explain this…
I woke up yesterday with an itch!!!

A Black Spirit,  in my thoughts.

So I retrieved my normal bladed Spirit X (also have a Butterblade model) and have studied it, carried it, going on day two!!!
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Oh    I hope this itch goes away!

How to satisfy this pain?
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!
