Matzesu, let us know how the cork screw works for you.  I've been in pursuit of a corkscrew for mine for a long time. I use them mostly for unknotting laces, etc.  Once upon a time, I used them on wine
That black Spirit is beautiful !
Well after i did order the Swisstool, i rode on an Amazon Rezession on it that there is also an 2Hand Leatherman Surge, but when i look on the Pictures on the 2Hand Leatherman its just looks like the normal One Hand Version .. ,

The Scales on my Swisstool are looking a bit "dirty", might be its got some condentation as it was lying outside for 4 hours in the Paket Trawer until i took it home..

The Shissel Tool got some nice additions, Box Opener, a tool to remove stuff from a Cable .. , i just wish my Fingernails where a bit thougher again after i did short them on Weekend, some times the Tools are a bit stiff to fold out ..

Another nice thing is that its got 2 Holes on the Hinge side for the Pliers: One can get used for the Clip, and the other for the Korkscrew, if needed ..

I wonder anyway how good this Korkscrew works, i know them only fold out on an normal SAK, and i dont trink Wine, but this one gets just attached..
But this means i dont need to carry another Middle Size SAK to have the Korkscrew when im Camping ..,

My thoughts on the Ratchet will get written in the Challenge Thread, its also a nice Tool..

I bough the Swisstool whit the Nylon Belt Pouch, but i think i will not use it as its makes the whole package much too big .., better to clip in the Spirit X and have the Ratschett/Bitholder in an seperate EDC Pouch..

  can not explain this…
I woke up yesterday with an itch!!!

A Black Spirit,  in my thoughts.

So I retrieved my normal bladed Spirit X (also have a Butterblade model) and have studied it, carried it, going on day two!!!

Oh    I hope this itch goes away!

How to satisfy this pain?

I think the only way to satisfy it is to buy a black spirit.

I dont trink any Alkohol, so i cant test the Korkscrew for this unfortunally, i can test it to untie a knoth when i find one..
Did cut a Bread Roll yesterday whit the Blade, and its works quite nice, as expectet: Victorinox Blades are allway quite sharp ..

The Pocketclip holds quite secure in my Outerpocket, even though its only held by one Screw .. i think i have to sheck this every week, not that i lost the Clip ..

I wonder if i have a Fitting Bit in my Bitset, this is something that where an ideal test on Wednessday Evening for the Ratschett ..
Your SAK is only fully yours, when it bites you, or you opend a Trink of your joice whit it
SAKs i have: Huntsman Light (Red Transparent), Workchamp (Black), Wenger EvoGrip S557 (Red), Swisschamp XLT (Red Transparent).. Swisschamp (Blue Transparent) Cybertool L (Blue Celidor (custom scales) , Huntsman (Black Celidor) , Victorinox EvoGrip S557 (Red, but sadly lost in my house somewhere) Victorinox Delemont S17 and S57 ..  , waiting for: Swiza D09 Blue

A doctor would recommend some kind of a pill and say take two and call me in the morning. So if we follow that logic buy 2?  This is how I ended up with 4 Spirits…

I’m giving away one to my electrical engineer and the other two will go to my boys when their old enough, so does that mean I need to get more?

Funny you should say that Gordon!  I've been thinking about mine! It's been quite awhile....

Maybe another spirit challenge is in order? Mine will probably be seeing a lot of action as we start clearing out our back lot and setting up the garden this year in spring.

In Retrospective this thing was quite expensive: Did pay around 210 € whit the Pocketclip ..

I wonder if there is a better solution to Beltcarry the whole Package: Might be for an Worker whit allready lots on his belt the Swisstool + Ratschett in its Carrycase where not a bit issue, but i have only 65 kg, so i did rather split the Set to my Pants Pockets .. ,

The Blade is about 7 cm, i though Swisstool Blades where lot bigger than them from an Normal SAK..

Brother LoopCutter, I think you should forget about the standard, dull-finished black Spirit tool.  They are dead common.  What you need is the rare, blued-silver-grey Spirit RT.  It is dark, but shiny. The finish is said to resemble polished anthracite coal.  I can see myself in the reflection.  They are also laser engraved on the big blade, "Your Companion For Life On The Road."  Did I mention they come in a black leather sheath with a snap? :pok: :pok: :pok:

 :surrender:

That is beautiful!

A BO version is set to arrive, shipping notice received.

I have two SS models presently. Spirit X ButterBlade and Plain Blade.  Both so handsome, they are works of art.

A BO version has been on my bucket list since I made my way through the last challenge.   To have a working style Spirit, that does not look to pretty.   But, may age nicely with use.  Plus, I like that all implements can be selected with spreading the handles other than the plier head.

Says one hand opening of the blade and serrated edge.

Nylon sheath should be durable, as that is what I preferred when I was working construction and maintenance at the Y.   But, being retired, it will see most action on my property and when running errands.

See if I will miss my TRUSTY REBARs.
I still have need for the ST300 for demanding tasks.

Now to satisfy curiosity, you say Spirit RT?  :like:

I would love one of those. But they don’t seem to come up for sale very often and are quite spendy when they do, unfortunately.

Yes it is, and very well Phil.  I've used it to tighten our swing outside, and different projects I have run into.  A rachet is better, but there's nothing to go wrong with the wrench.
I don't use it often, but it's nice to have when I need it!

As much as I’d love a chance to use the saw it just wasn’t the right tool for stump removal. At the ready nonetheless.

Something i allready like on the Spirit is the one Hand Unlock and Fold System, but what i dont like is that the Tools are still quite Fingernail Killing, might be its like on the Delemont S17 and they will become to get much more easy to unfold when times comes ..

Whit the Delemont instead of the Spirit in the Swisstool Sucks, i hope you get an Real one soon ..

I also got an not that good deliefery last week but it was only a crashed Victorinox UVP .. (but like i said the tool was still fine..)

Update to the update!!

The replacement packed arrived late afternoon.

Step one, the inside package was sealed, and appeared  to have no tampering.

Step two, the correct item was in the carton.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I am expecting BO dust, gritty feel accessing implements,   A need to wash down and oil, just as I have with other makes of BO MTs.

Nope, this shiny smooth, well oiled, no trouble accessing any of the implements, other than short finger nails🙄

It (pamphlet) says finish is back oxide, a protection coating. Darn!  It feels like BLACK Stainless and same for every tool.   My gosh the Swiss do it first rate. 😎

One hand nubs on blades work great.   This tool will be used the next several days. I am  very pleased!😃  :like:
