Oooops! Went to a concert last night (the black keys) with my spirit on my hip, tucked it under my belt buckle when I saw that they were patting people down, close call but they didn't even notice the empty sheath on my belt they were too concerned with pockets.  The ole butter knife is not exactly a weapon anyways but I didn't want it to end up in the confiscate bin with someone else SAK!

can anyone tell me where i can find a Spirit X in black oxide (3.0224.3CCH) to buy in the USA????

I have been looking everywhere for one.  also, my research has given me the impression that it is substantially more expensive than the standard chrome version.  i hope this is not true...

from what I have seen they are a bit more expensive than the polished ones. there are a lot in europe, but they seem more expensive than in the US.

thanks j-sews!  i actually did a search on google and found a bunch of sites from germany, poland, korea, etc. selling it on their online stores.
i emailed Roman at www.pocket-tools.de and he hooked it up at discounted price and pretty cheap shipping to the USA.  cannot complain!

if u guys ever have reason to purchase something from germany, check pocket-tools.de.  roman is a trustworthy standup guy.

ill post some pics when it arrives!

Much as I do enjoy many of my other MT's, it's my Spirit X I just couldn't do with out. :)

I carry 2 MT's in work, but the Spirit X is the constant. It is either backed up with a Charge or Knifeless Fuse. Now that I have a LM Crunch, that may get some time with the Spirit as well.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.

Hey guys,

I've started looking at the SwissTool Spirit X after being disappointed with the LM Charge AL's fit and finish that I got from Amazon. I have two questions:

1) Is the weight 5.75 oz or 7.4 oz? I've seen both weights mentioned.
2) Is the main blade impossible to open while wearing gloves?

It looks like an awesome tool, but if I really can't open the blade without taking off gloves, that might be an issue.

2) Is the man blade impossible to open while wearing gloves?

Yup, I'd rate it as impossible to open that way. Unless your gloves are fingerless or have a nail nick opening...

I agree.

Unless you can find a Spirit like this one: http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,1167.0.html ;)
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

No the Spirit is "perfect"....  but a new model(s) with OH blades would be a different "perfect"...

I think Vic is about ready to give us a OH opening Spirit.  They should start with a Spirit 'S' configuration with the file and spear-point positions swapped and make the blade OH.  Then we'll  for the X configuration.

I tell you I feel it in the Force... Vic you cannot resist... release it.

I would be all over an OH Spirit . For me it's the one thing I would change . Some texture on the scales would also be nice .
