Nice pics! I have both sheathes as well. Came with nylon so I ordered a leather hoping it would have a snap closure. No dice for me they both have Velcro. Some one offered to mod my leather unit for a snap closure but I never got around to sending it off. I should get on it I'm over Velcro.

Yes , velcro ( small surface area ) sucks for retention ! A tight or molded flap with a snap is much superior !

I bought a Spirit X for my girlfriend 6 months ago. Ever since I have been envious. She loves it and I love it too, so I ordered one yesterday. Watch this space for member application photograph. :D

I got tired of the bulkiness and military stealth look of my Charge AL and sold it. I love the compactness of the Spirit. I love the classic look. I love how ergonomic it is in the hand, both open and closed, - nothing that pokes out and hurts you like on certain other MT's. I love the bottle opener/prying bar, it's a beautiful implement! I'll go on as soon as I get my own.

Woooot!!! Thank you so much Reinier! :mail: :ahhh I got the news that a package was at the shop for me this afternoon and I was so excited I left my ST300 sitting on a bar then lost my sharpie! The sheath is wicked nice and the BO finish is amazing. Not just the perfect NIB condition but the ridiculous quality Vic produces makes me weak in the knees! Dutch army edition yeah!

Mix and Match!  :multi:

I picked up the Spirit when I could get it for $49 from Amazon. An amazing deal for such a fine tool. I got it with the possible idea of stashing it in one of our cars, but it has not left my belt. Now admittedly I actually already had one,  :D but it is the new one in the picture. I had used the other one some and the more I use it the more I like it. I like the diamond file on the Leatherman Charge Ti, but on the other hand the Spirit has an awl and a slot to take a corkscrew. What I really need is to get a plus case for the Spirit. The picture in large part was to show the adaptability of the Vic mini-screwdriver, especially the new one with the hex shaped handle (as I previously saw illustrated around here). I would eventually like to get a Vic extension bar if that is what it is called. I usually have to look to see the actually name they use. I have never placed an order where I could combine it, and it does not qualify for free Prime shipping. The one I see at Amazon is actually from Optics Planet, but I either never found it or they did not have it when I placed an order with them. They do offer free shipping with a minimum purchase of just under $30 as I recall. A good inexpensive source for the Wenger SI when Tim does not have them in stock.

Unfortunately no... Before this cap crimper model came out, only the S was available in BO.

That is very cool . Is that Dutch Army issue and if yes does the tool have any markings on it or is it a standard BO "S" model ?

Yes it's a Dutch army issue but the tool has no special markings. The sheath is pretty cool though (ask Beerplumber :D ).

Thanks to a recent trade with Ray 'rayraychil' I can now say I am a Spirit Owner again ;).  I had one in the past which I never used but I convinced myself to try again.  ;).  Not sure why I didn't use my previous one.  I did get it brand new for a great price but ended trading it after a couple of years of nothing more than fondling with it.  This standard Spirit arrived this afternoon :mail:.  Since confirming the trade on Friday I have been reading the Spirit Owners thread again and thoroughly enjoying it.  :tu:.

I just got one but noticed there is no symbol on the plier head. What does that mean?
