They make a couple of nice 3 piece British army folders too - does anyone know if the blade locks on them? Trying to figure out if it would be a carrier or not.

There is one model that the blade locks but it has no marlin spike. Also there is a locking marlin spike model but the lock doesn't work well. The BAK is ok for EDC but keep in mind it doesn't compare to SAKs.

Thanks. So I may have to search elsewhere if I want a non-locking blade, with a spike. Hmmm...

Ideas anyone? (preferably stainless not plastic)

This thread wouldn't be right without me posting this , Joseph Rodgers ...

although dated now these rescue/survival tools have seen service in quite a few theatres of war over the years and as a lad can remember them strapped to the legs of pilots when dad let me go to the air field with him  :D  I'm lucky to have a Joseph Rodgers one complete with sew on sheath and original lanyard .

I've got a Rodgers British Army knife with marlin spike. Very nice but bulky & quite heavy. Non-locking blade & non-locking spike.
