Costco Surge c308 Cased Set

Hello All,

Costco in conjunction with Leatherman is offering a Surge with a special Leatherman knife, the c308 and a bit kit in an aluminum case with glass window.  Someone on the other boards says this is being sold for $89.  There is a guy on Ebay offering it for $200 and $18 shipping.  I would like a set for my collection and wonder if one of you could get it for me at $100 plus shipping or something like that.  Appreciate the help.

Updated 12/14/06 - Got one of these sets.  Pretty neat from a collectors viewpoint.  Thanks to those who offered to help.

Yup, one more, but lots I still don't have.  That's OK as the fun is in the chase.

I expect the Charge AL and ALX to be available in lois of variations in aluminum colors.  If any of you are serious collectors, work on the knives as I look at the first releases as a way to test the market and would expect additions and deletions at this year's SHOT Show.  I'd also go after the Charge Ti & XTi in black soon.

We'll see - never was a good gambler or prognosticator

You read my mind. With aluminum side panels instead of titanium, they will be quick to anodize Charges in a rainbow of colors. Sorta like full-size Juices.

I went to the local COSTO today (Denton, Texas) just to check if they were selling that combo, but I only found the LM Juice Kf4 pack and the LM Super tool pack (Super tool 200 w/nyon sheath + storm-proof lighter + BARSKA field glasses 8x21). I got the Supertool pack for only 53 bucks. If anybody wants one and can't find it I'll be happy to get it and mail it to you.



I asked for the Surge pack but they had no idea about it. Do you know if only some COSTOS are selling it?, I would like to buy a couple of them for some friends, they are firefighters and would love to have thos tools.

Oddly, every Costco has a separate buyer. The selection is therefore different in each store.
Sometimes the buyers are right, and they sell out quick on certain items, sometimes those things sit like bricks in the mud. For example, in Leatherman City (Portland) I was one of the few people to buy one of the Leatherman Surge packs, the cashier told me that nobody ever buys them. The reason is of course that you can get Leathermans in just about every single store. Off the top of my head I can think of a dozen places that sell Leathermans within one square mile of my home in Portland.

Down here in LA I noticed that just before Christmas they put a pallet of the packs out, and every person that passed buy took one.
