What, if it's got a swiss cross on it, you just suck it up like a vacuum? Even if you don't know what it is? Heh-heh, I don't know what it is either Neil. One thought though is that flathead screwdrivers for firearms are usually hollow ground. Yours doesn't appear to be. Don't know if that means anything though.
I know what your saying but its not sharp like a chisel. Gareth, the screw that holds it in place is a knurled knob and can be turned by hand. You cynic Neil
If you want another one .http://cgi.ebay.com/Swiss-Army-Schmidt-Rubin-K11-K31-K-11-K-31-Screw-Driver_W0QQitemZ160322421895QQihZ006QQcategoryZ36077QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
A coworker saw the tool, and said that around '50 and '60, there were similar screwdrivers given with Singer sewing machines to fix and tweak them.Hope to be useful

Another tool I don't know the origins of. Neil
Who else could I ask? They own all the SAK companies in Switzerland.
Seems a bit cheeky asking Vic about something that clearly wasn't anything to do with them.
Quote from: Benner on March 23, 2009, 07:57:20 PMSeems a bit cheeky asking Vic about something that clearly wasn't anything to do with them.I would say that 99% of people (in general not on this site) would have said that it was made by Victorinox (or "those Swiss Army Blokes") It's SAK shape, has a shield and cross on it to me that would say Victorinox, it even says Switzerland on the blade. So IMO it is not clear that it isn't made by them, the only thing that might give it away is the Erinox but i'm sure not every SAK says Victorinox on it isn't there Wengerinox or something on some of them? Vic would have been my first port of call to find out something about it too
Perhaps I am in the minority then, but I knew that wasn't made by Vic as it had none of the stampings to say so.

Erm, I prefer the term "Oddity" if you don't mind Ryan.
