So, has anyone ever pulled teeth with a MT?  Just curious.  If yes, do you have pictures?

I tried to pull a tooth with pliers once, gave up and tried the tying string round it to a door knob trick. After slamming the door and it not working (just hurting like a b*stard), I decided to leave the bloody thing alone and let it fall out naturally.

I must add, I think I was about 11 at the time and the tooth in question was a milk tooth!

Don't get me wrong.  I'm a great believer in local anaesthetic and have a nice dentist for that kind of minor surgery.  Just wondered if anyone was nutty enough to have had a go :D

I am a recovering dentalphobic. Believe me, my childhood dentist didn't believe in anaesthetics or bedside manner - pliers were the soft option!

So yeah, I was crazy enough to have tried it  :D

When I grew up I got a medical science degree so I'm even more dangerous - anyone need any adjustments doing?  :climber:

I can understand, as a lad I had a similar dentist, "don't think we'll bother with aesthetic for this one lad"  :ahhh.  My present one is a  good bloke though.

Slightly dodgy knee joints, buggered up cartilage around my sternum and hell of a squint in the right eye... think you can fix them up with MT and a couple of SAKs ;)

HA! Christ I wish... my joints are knackered. The GF is considering sending me to the glue farm.

Perhaps that's part of our obsession with tools - fix the things we can control eh?

Chondroitin sulfate and hyaluronic acid (Cosamin or the cheaper equine version, Cosequine) is supposed to be good.

Recently read that leech therapy (yup leech) is supposed to give months of relief from a single "leeching".

No joke.

Does walking round in lakes and getting loads of the little buggers attached count  ???

Seriously thanks  :tu:

I've probably mucked up my chest again this afternoon, sifting the compost bins and carrying bags of sand round for the new vegetable patch  ::)  Still, means I can have fresh salad from June onwards :D

Most likely,  :pok: though I find that kind of talk just a little too profound for a pleasant Saturday afternoon when I haven't had a drink ;)

Did the raised bed last weekend.  Looks a bit rough as its made from an old pallet but should do the job.  I take many mg of caffeine each day.  Pretty certain that helps

For what it's worth I'm in the same boat ::)

I've got a load of scar tissue over my sturnum that plays up when ever I lift more than 35-40 kg, or when I'm tired, and as I'm a bloody insomniac, that's all the bloody time :(

Then there's my sodding foot >:(

Oh well I'm only 32, so I've got a lot longer to enjoy these flaws :D

Anyone going that isn't physically knackered in some way?  As I said somewhere else I've got dodge knees.  Although by the sound of it I'm not as badly off as some here.   :-\

Ha ha... yeah, I had to give up caffeine years ago so rely purely on bloody-minded determination and stupidity now.

So, everyone else is scuppered too then?! Good, I will fit in just fine ::)

You boys are so wicked to each other.... it must be love  :D

Now then - serious subject here - pay attention 007!

I want to get a Spirit for my birthday (the Swisstool kind, not the overproof rum flavour). Happily, my birthday is a week or so after our meet up so I'd thought I'd try this option for tracking one down: do any of you chaps have one you care to sell at the meet?  :pok:

I'm after one with scissors, with or without sheath, ratchet etc. Tim can send one over for about £46 so anything less than that would be splendid. My OH is buying it so it's my job to track a good deal down.

Thank you kindly

Ahhh, a Spirit. What a fine present that will be to receive nuphoria. :)  I'll bet these boys will have 6 or 8 of them at the meet for you to puruse. :D
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools
