Title: Guess who I met today?
Post by: Grant Lamontagne on November 09, 2006, 02:53:31 AM
Dan Akroyd is in town to promote some high quality tequila he is importing and I met him at the local mall today.  Got my picture with the Blues Brother too, and I'll be going to see him perform tomorrow night!

Awesome!
Just seeing that guy brings back old memories of Bass-o-Matic commercials.

(Uh, sorry to break the news to you Def, but you look nothing like John Belushi)

Those red flowers are poppies and are sold by veterans every year around this time to raise money for the Legions.  This weekend is Remembrance Day (the same as the US's Veteran's Day) and we wear poppies to show our support and appreciation for those who fought for our freedom.

Hi, my name is Jake, and this is my brother Elwood. We're the Blues Brothers!!

God I loved that movie. I must have seen it a hundred times.
What was your favorite scene?

My favorite scene was the Blues Mobile...

"It's got a cop motor, a 440ci plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, and cop shocks; it was a model made before catalytic converters, so it'll run good on regular gas."

Of course the singing Nazis were pretty good too... "I love you..."

Come to think of it, I dont think there was any part of that movie that wasn't one of my favorites!

All you need to do is come to Nova Scotia promoting an expensive alcoholic beverage and you can have your picture taken with me too!
