Title: Pliers free movment on MP600
Post by: gil2979 on November 18, 2018, 02:43:29 AM
I've noticed that my MP600 pliers have "free movment ", if you close the pliers they'll open as you angle the tool. You don't have to force them to open or close like on the Wave

Is that normal?

(Sorry for not posting it directly, always had hard time making forum posts work)

Is that normal?

Yes.

With a bit of use most pliers will do that.

Hmm, my MP600 was like that out of the box, while its not that bad, could I do something about it to make it more "stiff"?

Put grease in the pivot.

Imo, your pliers is a God sent.. Most people have issues the other way round.. And also the dreaded handshake of death..  ;)

I'll second Sam and Badwolf... mines became like that AFTER a week's worth of coathanger wire cutting!!! As long as the clips can hold the pliers' head from sliding down by itself, enjoy.
