Title: Hello!
Post by: DaveK on May 02, 2008, 11:58:58 PM
Hi,

I'm Dave and I'm an alcoholic I've been lurking on this forum for a few months, so I thought I'd finally make the effort to register and say hi. So, err, hi!

I stumbled across multitool.org a few months ago, whilst looking for reviews on Leatherman tools. I found the review (and I honestly can't remember which one it was now) to be exactly what I needed, a non-biased, detailed and accurate account and I bookmarked it.

Then, I found myself coming back as my Leatherman collection grew and I was deciding which tool to acquire next.

So, here I am  :multi:

Leatherman tools "do it for me", and so far I've amassed rather a lot of different tools in my collection, along with copious amounts of sheaths and accessories. I'm Tim Leatherman's dream customer.  :)

I'll probably be around the Leatherman forum most, and will try to contribute to the forum if I can.

Just want to say thanks to the guys that run this site - keep up the good work!

Good to have you Dave!  The original concept of this site was to help folks decide what tool to buy.  The reality is that the site has become a way to help people decide what too to buy... next!

Welcome, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Thanks for the welcome! I just realised there's a fair few questions on here so - here goes:

Benner - I'm only collecting Leatherman tools, (although I do have a couple of others that I've gathered over the years). I just counted and have 42 tools at the moment - lol.

Roadie - Thanks!

Leatherman123 - My favourite LM changes a lot - today its the Charge TTi. Or maybe the Crunch....

jock1 - lol - I'm already skint mate.

J-sews - safety in numbers!

duckman - haha.

Defender - I love the concept of the site - great job!

BIG-TARGET - too late! She's happy at the moment though as I used my Core to fix her garden furniture earlier!

WhichDawg - what would you like pictures of? I'll see what I can do!

Thanks for making me welcome guys - much appreciated!

Thanks  :multi:

I picked that 20th anniversary Wave up a few weeks ago on ebay - for a steal! The handles are quite badly worn, but the tool itself is in pretty good shape.

Just need me one of those Silver plated 25th anniversary charges now ;)

Four aluminum Micras! (You need to watch out for a green one friend!)  :)

Yup, there's plenty more to get. Haven't got any of the painted micras yet either, so it will be a while (and a lot more cash) before I fill in the blanks there.

You like the way I've laid them out though? That's art that is.

I do like the toolbox drawers with the foamy mesh in the bottom. Stuff doesn't slide around on it at all.  :)
