Title: 111mm relationship diagram
Post by: ghiekorg on September 13, 2018, 07:22:52 PM
Hello everyone
I developed another diagram, following the idea of LeaF, this time for the 111mm (sorry if i open a second thread, i didn't want to mix it with the 93mm one).
As before, corrections and suggestions are really welcome.

thank you for pointing them out. I was thinking to avoid putting twice the same knife with the same name and only the corkscrew but they are, in fact, different products. I will add them :)
p.s. the cheese knife is there "käsemesser"

Cheese knife and Kasemesser are very similar, no doubt. But not the same

Few comments:
1. Sentinel Plus was produced with regular blade only. On your diagram it's a OH.
2. Dual Pro X specified twice. Where Dual Pro is?
3. Garant and DAK 1993 / 2010 absent there?
4. Atlas, Outrider and Hercules were exists without long screwdriver initially
5. Workchamp XL exists in three variations
6. Old models with Slide-lock (Rucksack etc.) has only New naming in diagram? Maybe better to divide them?

Sorry for long post.

They should be fixed. Just a couple of things:
- I just could find the 3 versions of the workchamp XL :(
- I read on your blog that also the workchamp (not XL) had not long screwdriver initially, so i added that to it too
- I couldn't undertand what you meant at the point n.6, sorry

Of course, if you see other errors/uncorrect stuff just let me know. It's kinda difficult with all this version with same names and the locks versions. (i also realized that the software moves the text depending on how i export the image so sometimes it  goes under the boxes -.-)

Thanks everyone

Whoa, haven't seen your first diagram but this is very good!  :hatsoff: :hatsoff: Considered putting this somewhere publicly available? The SAKWiki maybe?

Awesome work ghiekorg!

I noticed two things :
 - On the Atlas S you wrote "old version has no long screwdriver" but it actually has a short Philips screwdriver, not a long one
 - Missing the new Skipper Pro  (https://www.victorinox.com/ch/en/Products/Swiss-Army-Knives/Large-Pocket-Knives/Skipper-Pro/p/0.8503.2MW)

Finally, I was thinking it would be a nice addition to know which of these have been discontinued and possibly the year it's been discontinued.

I would argue that "has no long screwdriver" means just that, that it  has a short screwdriver or none at all

Aah I guess that makes sense...

The thing is other models have this mention and they all have a long SD (at least on the pic) so I'm guessing older versions of the Atlas didn't have a SD at all... A bit like the older 91mm with no hook. If the older Atlas had no SD maybe it shouldn't say "long". I've found no such info on the Wiki page for the Atlas so I don't know what's what but it just seemed strange.

Thank you very much 😊 of course I would love to make it publicly available (as soon as it’s correct). Also the 93mm one. Actually I could just post the xml file so anyone could modify it as needed.

I will double check for the screwdriver. I read it on leaf’s blog and somewhere else about the atlas, but I could be wrong.
I will add the skipper pro. Not sure about the discontinued, it would take me a lot to find all the correct info about years and I would like to be kinda “stable” and correct even if some of them get discontinued. But I will check that too 😜 thanks a lot

This is a great initiative :like:

I think it might be even greater were one to add the various Vic product numbers...? Case in point is the old/new versions of WorkChamp XL - sometimes they are only advertised under their numbers... 0.8564.XL and 0.9064.XL and while logic dictates the lower number is the older one, from conflicting information in some ads I have reason to suspect it may sometimes be presented the other way around...(?) (Liner lock did replace the slide lock, correct?)
