Title: Tried my hand again, at paracord pocket clip
Post by: zrxoa1 on January 15, 2018, 10:16:43 AM
I had made the red one last year, but I wanted to try again and make it a bit different.

I’m still new to paracord, having only made these and two other lanyards.

I’ll try it out tomorrow. In my pajamas tonight. Haha!!

It is a Tinker that a previous owner had modded by our very own Syph007. The tools and everything are blacked out.

The scales are from a group on Etsy and Facebook called Remade Knives.

Is there metal inside the paracord? What makes it keep it's shape? (Never used a pocket clip on a SAK; either pocket carry or belt sheath).
Thanks, nice work BTW.

No, nothing inside. When making it, at the point you want to make the bend, you just bend it over and carry the stitch over the bend then keep going.

I’m not sure how well it will hold. Will try it today.

Well, I carried that Tinker with the paracord clip today. Seemed ok. I just went out to dinner with my wife and rode around a bit.  Tomorrow I go back to work and will give it a good test then. Will report back...

I used standard 550 paracord and it has worked very well on my 111mm Swiss Bianco SAK for some years. In my opinion it's a useful method to carry a bigger SAK with one big benefit as surplus: one can't scratch anything with a paracord clip  :D
