Title: How to hold handles

I might have to remake it as I split the top board when I put the screws in :-\

And there’s extra holes in the base for attaching it to other work surfaces ;)

Maybe I’ve over thought the idea, maybe I should have just tried the wide wheel on my bench

Nice that he included the whole process as he tried new things and refined the method. Very simple idea, way simpler and space saving than the shaving horse I saw Ben Orford using in an axe handle making video. Benefit of yours is you haven't had to drill so many holes in your bench!

I already have a couple of holes in my bench for 'bench dogs' so I'm not bothered about the holes but I wanted something I could use elswhere :tu:

Post by: Lichtbote on July 08, 2015, 10:23:45 AM: It´s not really "his" idea, also nothing new. Holding stuff that way is used in the metal industrie since a long time, mostly on a mill for irregular shaped objects that couldn´t be fastened in a vise.
