Title: Girl Scout Knife
Post by: Pacu on January 12, 2019, 10:55:43 PM
I found an old Girl Scout Knife at a giant flea market last weekend.  Little research shows it's a Kutmaster, 1948 to 1972, by Utica (NY) Cutlery. Bought it for a friend at work who was in Girl Scouts during this time period. I've seen them every now and then but not often.
As a Boy Scout i buy scout knives whenever possible but I think I need to look into Girl Scout knives too. Down another $ rabbithole.  ::) ::) ::)

The green handled Kutmaster Girl Scout knives are very good quality knives and usually pretty reasonable in price(at least on this side of the Atlantic).I have a couple of them and also a couple Utica Featherweight(aluminum liners and bolsters)GS knives.Gotta feed that addiction ya know! lol :D

Nice one! I've always had a thing for that green handle material.  They are fairly common on the bay.  What do think of the quality? Good walk and talk? Any wiggle?  It might be time for me add one to the rotation :)

Can't find one of mine

The scales on the English Girl Guide knife are brass
