Title: Keychain multitools for my collection
Post by: maxt on April 05, 2017, 11:30:09 AM
Hi,

I decided to expand my modest key-chain multi-tools collection outside of Vic and Wenger but I think I don't have much to collect.

Leathermen 5 pcs: Squirt PS4 & ES4, Style PS & CS, Micra
Gerber 3pcs: Dime, Vise & Splice
SOG CC51-CP
Walton's Thumb

I have nearly all of the above, but is there anything else I should consider?

I would not like to add any cheap key-chain models like Coleman CM6005 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G3550H8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A326T2IHZSVC14) and keep only high-quality tools. Any suggestion to what I might add?

SOG Crossgrip comes to mind.

If you are willing to look for discontinued tools there are a few more worth looking at (depending on how extensive a collection you are planning and what functionality you require):

Leatherman Mini tool (might be too bulky though)

Sebertool M3, M4

Bear & son Mini Bear jaws

Buck Newt

Gerber Ricardo corkscrew MT

Gerber keychain tool (slide-out tools)

Gerber Solstice

KutMaster MiniMaster

Kershaw TwoCan

Scrade ST2 Tough Chip

Stanley Auto-plier

Swiss Tech (several different mini MTs)

Buck Tool Mini Buck (but IMO the folding mechanism is a bit flimsy & the pliers are tiny)
