Title: Photo badge entries
Post by: IMR4198 on March 11, 2024, 04:45:15 PM
I might as well see if I can qualify for a photographer's badge.  Here are a few that aren't too bad.  I use trail cameras quite a bit, but most of them are black and white so I didn't include any.  Best wishes.  Gary (IMR)

I actually posted some other photos, but some of the pix didn't have a multitool in them.  Must follow the rules, right?  Best wishes.  G

How about it, Aztec?  Did your 'friend' decide whether a Colonial or Imperial multi constitute an Off Brand Multi or not?
I'm considering using the Swiss+Tech mini multi for a 15 day event.  We will see.  Back when all the knife and watch traders used to hang out on main street, they would definitely have thought of either brand as an Off Brand.  Old man Thad (Happy) Dowdle would gladly show you the watches that he had in his current trading stock.  He would pull up a sleeve and generally had a half dozen or so on one skinny, eighty something year old arm.  If you didn't like those, he probably had some more on the other arm plus some pocket watches.  And a pocket full of knives.  Mostly CASE or Robeson.  No sense in carrying a Colonial or Imperial for the knife traders.  Too common and you could buy a new one off the display card inside the 5 & 10 cent store they stood in front of for a buck.  A used one might have brought a dime.  Or a quarter.
Only kids or someone who just needed something to cut tobacco with would carry one.  I was a kid, so I only rated a DiamondEdge, or Colonial or something of that ilk.  Strangely enough, I don't remember being unhappy with them?  Best wishes.  Gary

I think they do plus I have 3 others that definitely constitute as a off-brand multi-tool.  One of them I hesitate to call it EDC-able.  I think I'll try the 7 day challenge with that one.  I'm thinking it'll make people laugh or at the very least smile.  I need to wait till I'm done with the Discontinued SAK/MT Challenge though.

If the photo judges/admins feel like IMR should have a badge for the photo thread, then I will move on to my Swiss+Tech adventure.  Thanks for the kind comments.  Now where did I put that Swiss+Tech thing?  Best wishes.  G

Thank you zoidberg.  Now I suppose I have to move on to doing the Swiss+Tech tool, since I already said I would.  I try to follow through with what I say.  So, it's back to the Cheap versus Cheerful board for 15 days, if I can make it that long.  I sorted through some junk and found my little fold up Swiss+Tech.  Best wishes.  G
