Title: My ride today,

I went out today for a mountain bike ride, i went through the local heath land and did a 40 mile ride through sand, stone mud, big puddles   :ahhh   :D  i had a blast, i met my brother over half way and we did the rest of the ride together and i ended up going to my uncles i havnt seen for a while, it was a good day, and yes i took the wave for a little ride  ;) me and my brother and our friend are going to do the lands end to john o groats next year, i better get some miles in  :-\

Beautiful scenery. 
I thought the first 3 shots were the same picture at three zoom settings.

pretty much the same shot different angles, sadly i only had enough space on my camera for a few pics plus on a time limit as meeting my brother, so i took some pics there as stopped for a break,

i feel re threshed now, girls dropped back and both tired so youngest fell asleep on the sofa and millie 3 , sat watching her favorite shows on the pc on I player, me im watching the paris rubaix    :ahhh   :ahhh   :ahhh

cheers ryan, now this isnt the most expensive bike ive owned over all these years, but other than a few things i need to change like the forks and a longer seat post im pretty happy with it, i did think the brakes would be a issue but after todays ride they seem more run in, i will strip its paint but the end of this year and go black  :D another bad colour with mud but i like black and not had many black bikes,  :tu:

hmm nice, i will see, my friend does powder coating and another does decals so should be able to jazz it up a bit, i was thinking more stealth, black paint satin, and a different black for the decals,  :-\

 :cheers: was a very fun time, makes me realize how much fun im missing at not getting out as much as i did, just a shame my brother couldnt take any action pics, sadly the first leg of the ride had all the best stuff and i was alone, ill try and get some action pics on my next ride ,

24 to many mate, my light tourer has a nine speed cassette, this has a 8, i generally prefer a single speed SS, but need this too pull the trailer with the girls in it, and im not super fit these days , plus live in a hilly area ,  :-\

mines 24 its a bit silly at times i think, i want to get a road/ hybrid bike but i only have room for one bike so ill stick to what ive got till it dies  :rofl:

i would love to try the Rohloff Speedhub gears, but the price  :o but for off road i bet they would work better overall, i nearly tore my rear derailleur off on a stump a few months back, so hubs woud be better for this,

and your not wrong mike , just me a few dog walkers and nothing for miles   :ahhh

The Rolhoff's only really work out reasonable if you buy them with a bike like a Thorn :)

Otherwise there just crazy money :-\

I'd love to get one of there fully equipped expedition bikes one day, but at nearly 4k I might just have to pass :o :D
