Title: Anyone ever try the TrekTech Trekpods?
Post by: 82brutus on May 20, 2013, 09:42:15 PM
I'm wondering if this would be a good alternative for a portable tripod?

New TrekPod II Monopod Tripod Hiking Staff (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yh6X7UqcYns#)

Anyone ever try one?

Can't say that I have. I have used several Manfrotto versions. However, once I got the BushHawk, I never looked back to monopods.

Yep, I have one.
The XLT Carbon fiber one is a great two use monopid. I believe it's 2lbs and has a lightweight short tripod style foot at the bottom.
Bought a gun rest for it as well.

But going to sell it soon since my DLSR's are too big and heavy for it. Need like a 5 series gitzo or something.
