Title: Leatherman series articles
Post by: Chako on May 20, 2014, 12:26:26 PM
I thought it might be somewhat beneficial if I gathered all the articles that made up this series. Maybe when someone is doing an online search, they will stumble upon this and have all the Leatherman tools at their fingertips, at least in photos if nothing else.

Leatherman Micra, Squirt, and Style.

Bookmarked.  Thank you for doing this.  Chako pretty PLEASE would you do a separate one on the Anniversary Leatherman Tools?  I looked all over to find the 15 year tool and finally found out there was never one produced.  I'd love to see whatever was offered.  I did find the 20th Anniversary one only to find out there was a signed one and non signed one ( thanks to your post on the Waves).  I'd imagine the Texas Tool guys anniversary tools are a separate deal yes?

Thanks Chako - a t'riffic series. I'd also echo Aloha's comments, if you can face one more thread it'd be great (and useful) to see a thread on the official anniversary LMs. What do you reckon?

Sorry to disappoint, but I do not have many of the Anniversary tools. I have looked high and low for a gold PST 10th anniversary to no avail. I only have the non signed 20th anniversary Wave. I do have all of the 25th anniversary tools...I think. Did not bite on the Texas Toolcrafter 30th anniversary tool as I assumed it wasn't official Leatherman, and only found out when it was too late, so nix on that one also. I did get the 30th anniversary set, because I knew that was from Leatherman.

I am sorry, I don't have anything, and finding those articles can be difficult.

Very nice chako, I have always enjoyed reading these and have been helpful especially in size comparisons. It's sometimes hard to get an idea of the "size" of something based on a stand alone picture. Your work is appreciated.

Hard to believe this was 5 years ago? Here is a gentle bump for those who haven't seen this and may find this Leatherman info useful.

hi my dad lost his Leatherman about a month ago he has had it for as long as I can remember and I'm 21 I want to buy the same one back for him as a suprise. I don't know exactly what model colour or year it was all I know is that when you hold it on your palm it fills your hand and it is a blue green turquoise colour. any help appreciated.

Welcome to  :MTO:

Sorry to hear that your dad lost his tool :ahhh

If it really was a Leatherman, then it was probably a Juice  not sure what model it may have been though  do you happen to remember any tools that it had on it, also the advice has recently been discontinued and may be harder to track one down for a reasonable price :salute:

Hi

When I first read this I thought "Blue Leatherman?    .....What the... ? "

But of course - as Ponch said - if it was colourful it was most certrainly a Juice
Have a look at the Juice thread accessed via the link in the first post in this thread or here:
https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,52252.0.html

Only chance to get these now is second hand on ebay (there may be a few new ones lying around somewhere)
Or go for another model
Unfortunately there is no equivalent to a Juice now - I for one did not understand why they discontinued the line  :(
So you could try a Swiss Army Knife - Maybe a SwissChamp if you want pliers - But the pliers are very small
Or maybe a SwissTool Spirit - These are pretty pricey - But very very nice
Or a Leatherman Rebar?

Good Luck    :tu:

Is it one of these?  A Juice S2, SC2, or Juice CS4?

Was it really small?  I was also thinking Squirt?  Likely a Juice, in any case I wish you success.
