Five 1908 Model Swiss Army Knifes
The knifes are 10cm long and the main blade is 7.5cm from tip to bolster and the length from start of cutting edge to tip is 7.2cm
All the knives are in good condition with full blades and lots of snap in the springs .... well actually the back springs are quite strong on these old knives nut the main blade and the awl are very grippable the screw driver is quite short and all you have is the nail nick .... I have gone through quite a few thumb nails opening this blade in the past
The first one is an Elsener (Victorinox) from 1943 and is in good condition but the scales have been repaired in the past, there are 2 cracks on one side that have been filled and seem very stable If it was me I would refinish the main blade
This one I will do for $70 + $10 postage

Last one is a 1940 Wenger and is nice and solid ... a few cracks in the scales looks like it has gotten wet some time in the bast 73 years and the fibre scales tend to swell works great though and all the blades have a great snap.
This one I will do for $60 + $10 postage

I left in the HS faintly as this was part of the history of the knife but took it back to nice faint initials.

Really a great job on the clean up. The WK stamp is a bit faint but still visible. :tu:

Can't wait for my :mail: day...
I've wanted an "Old Soldier for a loooong time.

It was pretty faint anyway I always try to mask it if I am using rough sandpaper , bit embaresed about the blade most of the 'scratches' wiped off I should have given it a good clean before putting it up to sell.

Well I can change the title again if you want to give it another try. ;) I think most would understand a slight increase of price given the time spent on restoration. ;)

Thanks for the offer but it is sitting quite nicely in my pocket :D
Plus I was bored and I sharpened it to a frankly stupid level last night and i don't think it should be allowed out in the wild , the combination of a shaving edge and the back spring is pretty scary >:D

:woohoo: Arrived today. As good as I hoped. Now to decide if I A: leave it as is, B: clean and light restore or C: rescale in Ebony and refinish blade and tools.
Think I'll ponder that over a few days of fondling.
once again, Thanks John, I'm lovin it.
