Title: A few holiday pics.
Post by: Benner on June 02, 2008, 11:11:34 PM
Just thought I'd share a few of my holiday pics.  The first lot were taken at the coast in Sheringham which is a really nice town to visit.  Lot's of interesting and unusual shops.

Next up are a few sights from the site I was staying on.  A short walk away there is a viewing area (below) that gives an amazing view.

My daughter liked this pic  :D;

Lastly, a couple from the railway line that runs from Sheringham to Holt.

It is a real nice part of the country.  :)  Not sure who's missing it more, me or the kids.  My eldest can't wait to go back.

One thing I didn't mention is that the railway line is for an old steam train and when I was there, I did the penny on the tracks thing.  It looks amazingly similar to Spoons compound leverage test.  :P

Many moons ago after school one day we had so many coins on the track that the train driver stopped and gave us a rocket about the risk of derailing the train >:D :D I think there are some pretty squished coins laying around somewhere :D

I feel awful now, that not what I meant at all :(   It was meant to be along the lines of, very nice beach, are you sure it was this country... as that beach looks too good to be true and the last couple of beaches I went to looked wayyy more dirty/litter everywhere. Not dissing Sheringham at all, very nice place actually, just dissing some of the UK's beaches as the few I've been to aint been very good. Sorry buddy, English wasn't my strongest subject at school.

You should get up to the West Coast of Scotland, some amazing beaches up there... and you can have a whole one to yourself at times....apart from the haggis....and only in good weather :D

The beach was very nice at that part.  We went to Hunstanton as well and everything was nice there too, which is pretty rare for a tourist coastal area in this country.
