Gents, I know this is an emotive subject, but I would gently like to remind everyone that MT.org is a non-political forum and we do our best to avoid discussing any political angles on any stories.
I do hope they catch the guy soon though Paul, can't say I'd be at all happy with him running free in my area. :-\

I'd be keeping a cricket bat handy, just in case.....

The problem they face in most countries is what to do with people like that.
If they are considered criminals then after they complete their sentence in theory they should be allowed to be free.
If they are considered mentally ill, that can not be cured, then in theory they can not be blamed for their actions and maybe they should not be let out ever, unless they are "cured".
In most countries they tend to be considered both, so that they can be sentenced and also followed afterwards. I know in the UK they are let out but tracked, usually chased by the tabloids at the same time.

Christ.. Don't get me started on this topic.
Honestly it's a red rag to a bull. Personally, I think ALL paedo's should be dragged to the gutter screaming and their throats slit wide open. Sorry Def, But such is my hatred towards these people.
A few years ago I was working in a youth hostel as a subcontractor (joiner) doing maintinance repairs. The age for all who were there was between 16-21. The boys were usually there due to behaviour or to be more precise, abusive fathers. The girls.... nearly always as a result of sexual related incidents, either by fathers, uncles, stepfathers etc etc almost always a member of family. It was pretty harrowing I can tell you.
Self harming, attempted suicides etc etc. just awful. The people that cause all these problems are the absolute scum of the earth. Childhood in my view should be happy memories of blue skies and rainbows. Not the truly awful memories that these young victims have experianced.
I really don't understand why paedo's are allowed any human rights.
Apologies to all for my rant, but having witnessed first hand the damage this causes young victims.....it's just too awful, you keep asking yourself ....Why do they do it?

Cutting there throats is too quick tosh ;) well he still isnt caught let's hope they get him quick.

Having previously watched the "SAW" (jigsaw killer) movies, that gives me some ideas as to the punishment they should face
-
No need to apologize to me. Child molesters need to be given a thousand paper cuts then launched out to sea with a really big catapult. If they make it back to shore then they have won the right to spend the rest of their lives in prison- in general population. Let me tell you, that won't be a long it easy sentence for them.

That's good news. Here's hoping he "accidentally" trips down the courthouse steps with his hands cuffed behind his back .... a few times
-
Yeah I'm sure he had a few accidents getting into the police van ;)

After the whole Jimmy Saville saga I have very little faith on the authorities, talking worlwide here, to do anything...
