First off, please, PLEASE, only vote if you have any intention of actually going to the meet-up. :twak: No point in running this if 20 guys from Canada think Norfolk sounds nice, vote, and yet only Dunc can actually go. ;)
However voting is not a commitment to go, just a statement of intention, we all understand that real life can get in the way. :-\
As for voting. If you can only possibly make one venue: vote once. Two are within your range: vote twice. Have no preference whatsoever: vote for all three. Make sense?
-
Not honestly bothered TBH,rather more concerned about firming up the dates
-
I'm voting for Halifax!
Apparently Gareth was expecting a Canadian to screw it up for him, and I would hate to disappoint...

Def
there's ALWAYS one ! and it's normally Grant
-
Norfolk and Buckinghamshire are closest for me ! (not much in it, depending where in the county)
* unless Def wants to send his private jet for us all, then i'd be ok with Halifax too :tu:
-
I would but the private jet has a flat tire and could be out of commission for months...
Def
Sent from a digital multitool
-
Has your jet got birds nesting in it too? :D
-
Voted for Buckinghamshire but will go wherever if needed.
-
I'd agree with Kirky, dates are more of a deciding factor for location. I have placed a vote for all three, but one or another may be more favourable depending on dates.

You should have told me, there's usually jets parked out back that you could "borrow" a tire from! :D

I think we were looking at September, right? I know that's not very specific but it give us somewhere to start.

on what day is summer this year ?

on what day is summer this year ?
It was on June first
-
I was going to vote but I didn't see Texas listed

I thought summer was always on 21 June, the summer solstice, in the northern hemisphere
-
due to a lack of funding, summer often gets cancelled in the UK Terry !
-
By a small margin Bucks seems to be the choice. I know Tony is getting in touch with the site owners and checking out available dates in September. :)
-
:woohoo: + :viking:
-
:tu:
Thanks!
-
I'm on tapatalk and I can't vote.....
But my RAF base has my vote ;)

Flashy,if that's a pukka offer,drop Gareth a PM :pok:
-
Shropshire is the ex-RAF base and TBH it would suit me a lot better, given that it's a lot closer than Buckinghamshire. :D
Flash, can you confirm dates that we'd be able to use the site in September? Always nice to have options. :tu:
-
Any weekend in September ;)
-
I voted Dallas Texas, in August, and we all wear black camo, with BO multis.

Ninja convention?

how about the grounds of Kirks stately home?
-
A late surge for the Norfolk vote. :o I've got to say that I know nothing about the area, but if someone vaguely local has a location in mind I'm sure we'd be interested in hearing about it. :tu:

You really sure you want to risk camping at Blamington Hall?
-
as far as Norfolk is concerned there are plenty of campsites round here, most of them suffer from only being officially 5 berth Caravan Club ones. I do know someone who has a much bigger site and whilst that's only officially 5 CC members he does do non CC things too. It's a nice area and whilst it's close to Wells next the Sea it's pretty secluded. I'm sure he'd be amenable to having a load of MTo-ers round if I asked. The only problem is access - being North Norfolk it's going to be a lot of effort for everyone bar me to get to.
-
I can't see Essex on the list? Basildon would be nice in the summer, we could sit round a burning car all evening singing.
Joking apart, unlikely to make a meet due to family and work. But will keep an eye on this thread just in case I can make it.

my Dad lives near Downham Market, tis only a 2 hour trip from north Kent and it's an easy drive. worth looking into Cupboard old chap :tu:

Id feel at home with that too  some of the estates near my place are a little 'lively' on a saturday night ::)

Hey TD, are you still volunteering to transport Kirky Boy? Wherever we end up, it's looking like being a bloody long way to go on a space hopper. :ahhh
-
I'll bring him but i won't take the blame
(i have a roof rack and enough rope ::))
-
Well it's good to see the voting cleared things up.
As Flash said earlier, he and the Shropshire site are available on any weekend of September, so that's a bonus.
Flash, IIRC we used a raised fire pit thingy before, would that still be an option? Also, any chance we'd be able to shoot some air rifles? (again I recall doing this before but don't want to presume that all's going to be the same).
-
Dates! :twak:
I need dates! :twak:
Somebody send me a packet
-
if there's an amenable site in Shropshire then I'd say go for it. It's a 4 hour drive for me but that's not too bad really!
I'll have a chat with the guy I know this weekend when I see him.

Are there dates you cannot do, or is it just that you need to book early?

Fire is ok as is archery, air gunnery, shot gunnery, cannon, thermonuclear etc...
-
 Really sorry guys, how do you take back a vote? I just voted for Buckinghamshire as I now live in Tring. But I am out the first two and just been informed also the last weekend of September, doubt I will make it.
-
there should now be a little 'remove vote' button just under the poll. :)
-
Cheers
-
