Title: [SOLD] Mammoth executive
Post by: tattoosteve99 on April 27, 2013, 01:48:28 AM
I have a mammoth executive for sale. Looks great but the scale is off a little on one side. Looks like this is a factory thing as mammoth is hard to get perfect. Sale only no trades. Shipping is at cost for CONUS and International, tracking is covered for US international at cost. The price is $80 plus the shipping fee. Pics are available upon request. If you don't choose insurance I can not be responsible once it leaves my hands :)
Pm me for any other details or pics.
 Thanks

The photo with the paper shows the spot as described that is separated. They are not loose. I think this is a common thing with mammoth. I took the best photos I could to show this.

Time stamps will be used as who gets it first! So far 2 are up. Please post here with interest also.

I have a couple of these and they're fantastic knives.  The price is more than fair. If you're thinking about one of these, this is a great deal.

That askew scale is inflaming my OCD.  I want to remove it and epoxy it on properly! :D

Agreed that's very good price! :tu: I bought mine at the time, I paid $169 from Felinevet, Victorinox retails them for $215.

I carry and use one nearly every day.  It is an excellent EDC SAK for the office.  The slightly thicker scales makes it much more comfortable for actual use.   :tu:

Would Victorinox consider the defective scale to qualify for warranty repair?

I doubt it considering how old the mammoth scale material is. They consider this "normal" but a email could confirm this.

Here's a recent thread of the Vic Mammoth Tusk for this problem.
