I was changing the cabin air filter in my Tacoma, which requires dropping the glove box. I can usually do this without dumping everything in the glove box, but today everything rained out of it onto the floor. I noticed a heavy thump, and there was the Auto Tool I remembered, but thought I must have lost permanently. The air pressure gauge comes on (amazing), but the readout is wonky. The light is muerte, but there may be a fix for it.
It gives me hope that I might yet find my oldest Buck 110 and Leatherman PST.

He he... reminds me to my Micra I found in my bikes saddle bag once. It was resting there for 13 years :D Made me really happy!
Looking forward to see your oldest Buck 110 and Leatherman PST :pok:

:drink: to lost things found.

I love finding things that I thought lost to the sands of time :woohoo:
Congrats :tu: :like: :like:
Now, pics :pok: :D

:iagree:
I recently found a bunch of knives that I wasn't sure if I'd sold but I hadn't seen for 2 or 3 years. Tremendously relieved that I hadn't sold them. They had been packed away in a storage bin and I found them when looking for something else.

Congrats!
Gives me hope of finding the Benchmade 940-1 I lost 6 years ago :ahhh

I lost my first Rebar about a year after they came out  replaced it but never have seen it since  kinda doubtful I will ever see it again but you never know :woohoo:
I have also misplaced a BO Rebar in the last couple years and also had to replace it  I sure hope to find it again someday :dd:

Glad to hear you found your AutoTool. Maybe a little warranty work is in order? Sadly, my Leatherman Squirt ES4 won't be making its way back to me.
-
The pouch is long gone, but the tool itself is virtually unused. If you can't find it, you can't use it. Right? :ahhh
I'd take a pic of the snow scraper, but it's one thing I would never need now.

Its a neat tool and kinda a surprise coming from Vic. I found one a long time ago and was pretty stoked. As part of a reevaluating of my collection I stupidly sold it off. While I am not looking for one nor longing for one I would not have sold it today. So glad it was found.
If I could only recall the things I misplaced .

I lost my first Swiss Army Knife in a knife throwing contest. :ahhh Never found it. :ahhh
I prefer to think that it was a Chinese knock off but actually I don´t know.

I had my first, which was a Japanese knockoff, for a long time before I lost it.

The second time I lost a SAK, it was my trusted camo Fireman I´d been carrying for years.
Somehow it fell out of my jacket pocket, right where it was camouflaged best, in the bushes.
I found it back after a long search, thanks to the orange lanyard I put on it.

I still have my first... It's not good
At all
I pity my childhood self, it was a two pack knock off of a classic and some 93mm version that probably cost similar to what a real SAK cost

I didn't know what I didn't know. My uncle bought me the best gifts, usually from the Army-Navy Surplus store. When I opened the box, it was real enough for me. :D I bought one last year, just for nostalgia, and you're absolutely right: they're awful. But it reminds me of a time when lack of knowledge gave me more of a sense of wonder. 8)
I thought about using it in tne SAK-alike challenge, but I knew I'd throw it off a dock before the halfway point.

Always great to see pics of this tool :salute: Such a neat oddity from Vic :like:

Oh I don't mean all knock offs in general, I had/have a stainless scaled one from Aldi that was even sharp :ahhh
My first one had one of those saws that looks like it's made of compressed and vaguely polished cooking foil.
