I just got one in the post today from the Catman, and was wondering what the battery life was like :think:

The AA model is supposedly based on the Inova Radiant AA model's circuitry, so you can compare the specs here. (http://www.flashlightreviews.com/reviews/inova_radiant_aa.htm)
It looks like the runtime to 50% power is around 6 hours. Not bad.

You know, it's not the brightest or longest-running light, but I really like mine. It has such a quality "feel" to it, just like a fine ALOX knife.
Be sure to orient the batteries properly when you replace them. They go in backwards (negative towards the head), and I don't think the light has reverse-polarity protection. In other words, if you put the batteries in the wrong way, the light might go POOF!

Okay, I'm sick of it. Point is, it's one quality light. It really does feel like a SAK, in that it will just keep on going for as long as there's juice in the batteries. I dropped it numerous times and it's been exposed to dust, heat, charcoal... the only thing I haven't had the heart to do is dunk it in water. The O ring seems reliable, though.
One thing I like about the light are controls: even though there isn't an ON button, you can get momentary on from screwing the head on almost to the end and pushing it all the way in with your thumb. This also makes the light vulnerable to accidental on. Make sure to unscrew the head after using it...

I've done it many times (I don't know why, for fun?) and it hasn't exploded yet. :D
