Title: New love for the Pocketwrench II
Post by: Gadget Guy on May 27, 2013, 07:30:35 PM
Sometimes when a tool has been around for awhile it gets cast away for the latest new gadget. I've owned a Pocketwrench and Pocketwrench II for a long time now. I usually have one in with my multitool sheath as an extra edc tool. I also carry one in my bicycle tool bag and I have a few floating around in my shop.

I've been carrying the Pocketwrench II lately and I've found new love for this great tool. Not only is it handy, but it is strong enough to do just about any task that you throw at it. Made of 420 stainless steel it is a tough little bugger.  :tu:

I'm going to be ordering 5 more pretty soon. At $10 each, that is really hard to beat!

http://www.pocketwrenchtool.com/

Note: I'm not affiliated with Burktec in any way, I just love their Pocketwrench II.

It sure is!   :tu:

I'm not really collecting pocket tools anymore so I really appreciate a tool that does the job and doesn't cost a ton of $$$. The Pocketwrench II and the LM Brewzer are the best bang for your buck, IMO.

It's certainly one of the best value pocket tools out there, and extremely useful too :)

Ive bought a few one piece tools but the pocketwrench 2 is the only one I kept.  And then I bought a second one. :D  Very affordable, and a great companion to an MT or sak.  :tu:

Some day I hope to find one of the older pocketwrench II made out of chrome vanadium. I saw one on the bay some time back and it went kind of high. Seems like they were made by Latshaw Tool.

If you're nor worried about the finish on the but, the Pocket wrench II has to be one of the best one pieces out there.  The only other tool in the same the class is the Leather man Piranha

The original Pocketwrench (or Pocketwrench I) was black and came out roughly 20+ years ago. I have one somewhere but for the life of me I can't find it. If I do I'll post some pictures of it.   :tu:

I am going by memory here. I believe that my original Pocketwrench didn't say II on it. It was black with deep etching. I could be wrong, but I'll keep looking for my original one.   :tu:

I have a couple. They're handy companions that slip neatly into the back pocket of a Leatherman sheath. The box-wrench aspect limits it a bit, but it is great on exposed nuts. I have to ask, why the preference for the chrome vanadium versus the stainless? This is usually an argument I see pertaining to Case slipjoints on the Traditional knife sub-forum over at BF.

They don't strip. :D Usually the bolts are the ones that end up being marred after an encounter with the PW2. ;) It's a very tough tool and it sometimes leaves a mark on the bolts.

The small teeth make it good for both metric and imperial size bolts and it also works well with those LM pivot bolts.

HEHEHEHEHE That's a good one.

Look at their drawing. Assuming everything is scale, it's going to be a lot thinner than a true PocketWrench. Probably softer, to. For $33, you can buy 5 or 6 sucktastic clones from the conmen of the far east, or if you can't find the real thing, buy a Pirahna.

Where did you find it?  That's got to be a rarity!

Mr. W, I found it on ebay. It is the only one I've ever seen other than a pic of Stromdranes.

enki_ck here is a family pic for you.

That's a beauty shot for sure.  :)

I somewhat doubt that.. Stainless Steel is kind of hard to mess up and the thickness in the pictures looks the same.
It's pretty much what happens when things get outsourced in China, they show up much cheaper but exactly the same as their much more expensive "real" thing. All that extra $ you spent on the tools is all marketing  and keep in mind, even for 6$ each they're still making a profit on it! So the real costs of making this thing are probably around 3$ meaning that on each pocketwrench a whopping 16$ profit is made.

How? The real one is $10,50

Correction $14.95 :-\ Seems they went up since last year but still no $16 profit to be made. (Free shipping from Lee Valley currently too)

There is still some space left in my Leatherman pouch, so I'll expect it to fit in just nicely.    :tu:

Shrug, just did a google search, none of the first hits go as low as $15, my first three hits at google: 20$ (http://www.pocketwrenchtool.com/), 20 pound (http://www.rutlands.co.uk/sp+woodworking-hand-tools-screwdrivers-pocket-wrench-pocket-wrench-pocketwrench+dk7112), 22 dollar (http://www.amazon.com/Burketek-Pocket-Wrench-II-Set/dp/B0089SI412). Anyway, it's not really the point I was making, which was that it wasn't a fake and that tools mass produced in China are being sold for way too much.

How are the teeth on it compared to the regular PW2, good or rounded like on the plated Latshaw one?

They're not as sharp as the current production but sharper than the plated one.

I find it works very well with the philips keyring I have, in between the philips end and the keyring end there is a hex section, which fits the pocketwrench driver exactly. Enhances the functionality of both keyring tools.

Wow, I want one of those "slim" PWs.  That's the best pocket wrench I've seen on the market; it would be great to back up MT pliers when you need to hold a bolt and turn a nut or whatever. The full size version just looks too bulky at the handle.

I tried to tighten a screw in the gap between baby car seat and it's base, first I use the mini surge, not enough room for the tool to work ( the driver doesn't lock at 90*) ; and not enough level age for just using the bit. Here comes in the new PWII!
I use it's bit driver to turn the bit. Worked great! That is something Croc can not do.

Never thought I need a bit driver but I was wrong.

I use LM bits with PWII so they can be comparable with Mini-Surge.
They fall out from PWII too easy, a small o-ring can fix that.

I like the Pocketwrench II, as well, but I wish it was more useful for prying.

Earlier this month, I conducted an informal test using a few of my one hand multitools to remove staples from an envelope.  The Pocketwrench II was the worst of the bunch because both ends are rounded and I couldn't get the tapered end to fit underneath the staple.

The Nite-Ize DoohicKey worked well because I was able to fit a sharp corner of its "screwdriver" end underneath the staple.  The Gerber Artifact and Schrade titanium keychain tool worked better than the Pocketwrench II, too.

Was thinking about whether I should cut a V-shaped slot in the end of the Pocketwrench II as found in the Gerber Artifact and other pry type tools.

Thank you enki_ck and Mr W. The McFreely stamping and teeth are backwards or reversed to the others. It also has different style lettering.

Parnass that might be a good mod. I've thought of several different types of mods but cant seem to make a decision as what I really want to do yet.   :)

Same here. And I agree the PW2's width and angle sometimes make it be far less effective as a pry tool than it should be. I'm most inclined to try and do a Pocketwrench Slim mod.

I actually used my pocketwrench for the first time yesterday, after carrying the damn thing for two years!

It makes one hell of a Prybar! Used it to pry open the hook on a damages shelf, worked a treat!

This thread is giving me problems...
Ever since I stumbled upon this thread, I've been thinking about getting a PWII, even though I can't really think of a situation where such a tool would have helped me. I just like the idea of having a wrench that can handle pretty much any size nut or bolt.

Now, the big question:
Since funds are a bit scarce at the moment, I'm seriously thinking about buying the copy from DealExtreme. However, I have yet to hear from anybody how good that is, compared to the original. I know the difference can't be that big, but if the one from DX has a tendency to slip on every bolt it touches or the teeth break after a few uses, it'll just be wasted money.
So... Does anybody have experiences with the copy from DealExtreme? Both good and bad; throw it at me, so I can make a proper decision.  :ahhh

I ordered the DX version last week. Don't have the genuine article to compare it to though.

Outside of the real PW and the DX versions, is there a very close tool on the market that does all they do, and maybe even more?

I admit to owning several of the real deal and none of the knockoffs for comparison.  If it were me, though, I would wait the extra month or two or however long it takes to save up the funds for the original.  Just my $0.02 though.

I just got my faux PocketWrench from DealExtreme.com. Shipping to the eastern part of the USA took almost exactly a week.
I have to say that I am very pleasantly surprised with the tool. Finish, markings, teeth, and the 1/4" drive all seem very well finished/impressed/cut/, and it's quite a deal for less than $6 shipped. It'll happily live with one of my Leathermen or other MT's.

Though I appreciate having the best possible, in this case the tool will only be very occasionally used, and the price difference was a factor.

I've had a Vanadium coated one for years, and Mr Whippy just included a Stainless one in a trade we did.  I was shocked at the difference, the stainless one is so much nicer than the coated one!  The SS one rides in my bag now.

The more I think about it, the more this seems an ideal mate for my EDC SAK... pair one of these bad boys up with an Explorer or Super Tinker, and I can see the combo being more useful than a Leatherman on its own.

And if I carry all three, I develop superpowers.

I have two, but they almost never see use. The box wrench design limits what it can be used on, pretty much just exposed nuts, of the hardware variety. Still, it rides well in a Leatherman sheath, and is light enough to not notice until you need it.

I bought my Pocketwrench IIs a few years ago during Christmas season when Lee Valley offered free shipping on everything.

This year, Lee Valley is offering free shipping from Dec 23 to Jan 5, but only on orders of $40 or more.   If you bought 3 PocketWrench IIs they would ship free.   :)

This looks feeble alongside David's black/chrome vanadium collection, but I've had the stainless Burktek PWII for a while and I love it, such a great little tool, and always wanted to get my hands on one of the Latshaw black versions, purely for aesthetic reasons.

You just can't buy them over here, but after combing the bay for several months, this landed on my mat today. I love the looks, I love the 'Made in USA' packaging. Now the problem is I'm not sure I can bring myself to rip open the packaging and I guess I'm back on the bay again later, looking for a user version

Um, thanks, sort of what I suspected. What vintage would you say these earlier versions are, I thought the packaging had a sort of early-90's vibe (based on nothing more than the line drawing of a car on the back!)?

Anyway, now you've told me that there's no chance I'll be using it.

David is really the king of PW and PWII,  but I would guess the CrV PWII is from the 90's.  Unlikely after 2000.

A NIB one like that wouldn't get used by me.  I'd find one with some wear already.

In spite of being an older design and long discontinued, the US-made PW II is still one of the best OPMTs out there IMO.  I’ve been carrying one in my wallet for many years.

If anyone is interested, they do pop up on the ‘bay from time to time at generally reasonable prices.

:iagree:  Even when the Titanium craze hit I stuck with my PW2.  Its got me out of jams and has proven itself time and time again.  I never worry about pushing it as hard as I need to and can since its small.  Just yesterday I was prying a stuck metal rack.  I pushed and pulled and finally it broke loose.

Leverage is limited given its size but man its one heck of a MT.

I bought mine in 2017 or 2018 used, and I've used the heck out of it. It's rare I don't carry it. I've even worn most of the bluing/black oxide off. The yellow paint was already worn away when I got it. Prybar, alligator wrench, screwdriver, ruler, bit driver--it's done it all. At the time, stainless versions were common, but I went with Chrome Vanadium for toughness.

At the time, I had a Leatherman 6 (wasn't big enough for gate hinges). I had a 4" Craftsman adjustable I carried for bigger jobs (which had the same head as a 6", but a stubby handle), and that was heavy. 6" I often needed for gate hinges, but they were ridiculous to carry around.   The PocketWrench replaced pretty much all of those for EDC, and it offered more functions.

If memory servers me correctly. The gentleman from the later Burktek company invented the PW/PWII and Latshaw manufactured it for a while then Burtek was the last seller of it. When the market was flooded with cheap chinese knock-offs a few years back. It put Burktek out of business. Thats my best guess at the moment. I could be totally wrong. Maybe it's already been mentioned but what's the difference between the PW and the PWII?  Just the rulers on the sides?

I stashed my Burketek wrench and bits somewhere but if memory serves me right my model had bits with ball detent that locked it in place.

While searching for the PW II, I came across this photo.I don't know if it is the Latshaw PW II or the EDCGear copy. But I do find it interesting that a SnapOn branded PW exists.

Edit:

I looked again and saw a second photo. It appears it is a genuine PW II:

I am betting this is a Taiwan PW II. I saw a picture of a Volvo branded PW II that was packaged in a similar manner and had Taiwan stamped on the front side.

You will need to devise a spacer to keep the PWII from sliding too far down the shaft of the ratchet.

Perhaps they were being made in Taiwan cheap enough to be sold for $1.99?  :dunno:
I doubt the PWs made in the US sold that low.
And I don't know why no one wanted to buy them, but I feel that I myself would not have appreciated the PW II's utility 10 years ago. I know better now after using one.

Is it any good?  :pok:

The tradR Pocket Wrench is sold by Misumi (https://uk.misumi-ec.com/vona2/detail/223012338374/). It is showing as unavailable on the UK site and is temporarily unavailable on the US site. I might be lucky that I was able to order one.

Then again, it came in just this week, and I have not had a chance to try it out. So, it may not very good. I can tell that the ridges or teeth are smoother than the PW II CV and are more like the Taiwan version. If it can grip nuts well enough, it should be able to handle a wider range of nut sizes and situations. On the minus side, it can't be used as a prybar or a screwdriver.

Oh, and you need a stainless USA Latshaw still ?

Yes, that is the main version that I am missing. I have missed out on two of them on eBay so far  >:( , but I think I can snag one eventually.

I found that it worked well.

It could tighten this 5/16" bolt:

After I had started this 5/16" drive screw by other means, I was able to screw it into the wood 1" deep with no problem, and there was no problem with backing it out:

I was also able to torque down and loosen this 1/2" bolt:

Also, the trapezoidal hole in the middle will firmly engage with a 1/4" bit driver:

I think it is a solid wrench  :tu:

I know the forum has done limited runs of some multis from various companies. Does anyone have contacts anywhere that might be able to crank out some PWs (or PW-esque tools) for us? From my laymen's perspective, they're awfully simple. OTOH, they're pretty popular in some of the other EDC groups I'm in, so there might be a market for someone to bring them back for more general production if given a nudge?

Would have to investigate who (if anyone) holds the patent on them today.

While they don’t look terribly complicated, getting the teeth done right so they actually grip could be a hurdle.  Also, the best versions of the PW are/were hardened to withstand years of use.

The main reason they have the fans/following that they do is that the USA-made ones are really solid well-built tools.  The challenge was and is that quality costs money, and the pool of folks willing to pay the cost of a decent pocketknife for a OPMT is limited.

As noted above, if anyone wants one, best bet is to keep an eye on the ‘bay.  They do show up there lightly used and even new sometimes for not crazy sums.

I think nate is right. The best chance would be to get in contact with a manufacturer of an actual model that is still produced, like the Misumi one, if there is an interest in it.

I am wondering if the chrome vanadium versions are any tougher. I went with CV/tool steel because that was my opinion (and you could still find the stainless ones easily at the time).

I've used the crap out of mine (including jobs involving stuck, overtightened, and rusted fasteners), and it's not hurt it one bit.

I have the stainless version, and have carried and used it for years, including putting all the force I could manage on it.  Never had any damage or issues.

Are the tool steel versions tougher and or stronger than the stainless ones?  Perhaps, but as a practical matter I don’t believe you could damage either in actual use, unless you were superhumanly strong or used a cheater or sledgehammer or something on it.

Chrome Vanadium should be "tougher".  My SS is going on ten years?  No problems with it or the teeth.  I'd imagine as Nate says if a cheater bar was used or it was hammered there could be issues.

This is what I have pieced together from the web, though I suspect others know more about its history.

From Donald Burke's Linked In page, it appears that he was manufacturing and selling the Pocketwrench in 1991 to 1996. I have also seen a reference to a trademark on the name "Pocketwrench" dating to 1991.

Wescon Products Company filed for a trademark on the name "Pockerwrench II" in 1996. They also owned the trademark for "Latshaw Tools". The trademark on "Pocketwrench II" ended in 2006.

Finally, I believe David (or somebody else here) wrote that around 2006 Burke started making and selling the Pocketwrench II again. I believe that it was from this point that some were made for Snap-On Tools and Volvo. I have seen pictures of PW IIs in the newer packaging with Snap-On and Volvo branding.

That concludes what I think I know about the PW II  :D

I've got my share of OPTs over the years but this one looks totally different and useable.
I’d recommend keeping an eye on the ‘bay.  They pop up there from time to time lightly used or even new for reasonable prices.

Didn't get a pic  but I did use the Pocketwrench to take off a replaceable scraper blade from a floor scraper and put a newer bigger one on :woohoo: the bolts looked to be 1/2 inch or bigger  but I didn't have to track down a wrench or any other tool and it worked perfect 8) :like:

Great it worked for you there  :2tu:

I had used mine 2 weeks ago on an exercise bench.
17mm nut bolt with secure nut at the other end.
The Wave and PW were at it's limits but I could tighten it up fine without getting the toolbox out of the shed.
No slipping or any  with the PW. The limit seemed to be the leverage I had on the tools itself.

Well, the Wave could open a bit wider still but I wouldn't be able to grab it well with only one hand then.

As I’ve carried a PW for so long, but they are discontinued, I thought it prudent to grab a few backups when the opportunities arose.

Note the top one is an original PW.  The addition of the rulers on the PWII was a definite upgrade.  Sadly, this example isn’t in great shape; the spots and discoloration appear to be rust.

The second from top looks to have seen by far the heaviest use of the four CV tools.  The yellow appears faded, not as bright as the newer looking ones, but still perfectly clear and legible.

I've now able to join the elite club of PWII owners thanks to the generosity of McStitchy, who messaged me after I had wanted to know where to find one.

It showed up here on this side of the Atlantic on Saturday and it's first use was tightening up a nut on my wheelchair.

Don't know how I'm gonna repay this kindness, but for now, my humble thanks and appreciation.

Here are the PWs that I have managed to acquire so far:

I found the two PWs and the Taiwan PWII on eBay.

The USA SS PWII and the first CV PWII came in a trade with Stitchy, along with a second USA SS PWII that I then sent on to BPRoberts. You can read about the trade here (https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,90546.msg2398770.html#msg2398770).

The second CV PWII was the first one I acquired. I found out online that a hardware store in New Jersey had several left in stock. I was cayrying it daily, but then stored it away after noticing it was showing wear. However, after receiving one in great shape from Stitchy, I immediately put it back in my Maxpedition and have used it several times since then.

The final tool (https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,90403.msg2392002.html#msg2392002) is something that I found while searching online for a PWII. It works well as a wrench, and the trapezoidal hole fits 1/4" bits.

I am now looking for a Chinese copy, which has proven to be more difficult than finding the real thing  :dunno:

Well after a link to another PocketWrench II from Adam, I got another one :woohoo: this is one is chrome vanadium as well, just not the blacked out version  :ahhh

Both together :dd:

And some individual shots :D

It had a bit of rust on it but that wire brushed right off :woohoo: the pictures weren't great on the listing and looked like a black chrome vanadium that had a very worn finish. Luckily it was just bad lighting and that little bit of rust :salute: happy to have another variation and will continue to try and find some of the other variations :ahhh

What is so special about this wrench vs some of the other ones that have other tools built into it? I just don’t have any clue on this subject, I mean heck I saw one with a punisher skull that looked cool and it had the diff size wrenches, a pry bar, and a few other things, :dunno:

Thanks David :hatsoff:

I have several other tools that are similar but the quality of these is above and beyond  they have a better look to me than most other tools and it has a pry bar end along with a very useful wrench that covers many different sized nuts :tu: the ruler is a bit small but could be handy for different things as well :tu: they are also made very beefy and I have never felt like it was going to break on me in use either :salute:
Title: Re: New love for the Pocketwrench II
Post by: nate j on June 12, 2023, 03:46:15 AM
As Poncho said, the quality of the USA made ones is second to none.  They are solid stainless steel or CV, and seem to have been properly heat treated.

I’ve put all of the considerable force I can muster on mine with no ill effect, and I don’t think you could damage one (other than typical tool wear) in normal use unless you beat on it with a hammer or used a cheater.

The ruler marks are deeply etched into the steel, ensuring they will most likely remain legible for the life of the tool.

The pry end seems to hit the sweet spot for thickness and taper, enabling it to get into some fairly tight spots without being fragile.

The wrench is a thing of beauty.  Many other OPMTs use a series of cutouts to handle a very limited number of nut/bolt sizes.  The PWII will handle absolutely anything that fits into its wrench: standard hex, metric, square, whatever.

With no really sharp edges or corners, it is fairly comfortable to use for a OPMT.  It also fits perfectly in my wallet, so I always I have it handy.

I’m not sentimental about it.  If I could find a OPMT that was better than the PWII, I would buy several and start carrying one immediately.  But I’ve been carrying a PWII for probably 15 or 20 years, and I can’t recall anything else being close to dethroning it yet.

Well thanks guys, I can see how for someone who’s around a lot of nuts and needs a mini pry bar all the time that this would work, I’m not really in need, I’d probably go for something with some more tools vs the two, maybe something like that geekey, something maybe to hold a hex, and good for opening taped boxes, but it also has both hex and metric nut sizes, that and the file and ruler,, so who knows maybe someday, it’s something I really need,

The Shard is a neat little tool. I don't carry mine enough. The Gerber Mullet is awlso worth considering; it's a tiny bit bigger and has a few more functions. The DoohicKey... :dunno: You might be able to find one at Home Depot, though.

You mean the screwdriver?

It is a Leatherman Ratchet Driver with a Zapwizard micro screwdriver handle. It slips over the Ratchet driver and this one holds the LM flat bits. Just search Zapwizard and he has a site  he is a member here at MTO (you can probably get to his site from his signature line link here as well) but he hasn't been active in a while :salute: the price isn't exactly cheap but when I ordered mine they were cheaper  :ahhh

He 3D prints several different things besides the screwdriver handles, he also prints different sheaths and other accessories for LM :tu:

A few days ago I decided I wanted to carry my PW2 day to day around the house.  I can get to pliers easily but every once and again I'd like them there and then.  I put up a awing and the feet have bolts with nuts.  I tried to undo with my fingers but they were not budging.  As I stood to get pliers I immediately recalled I had my PW2.  Voila.

Sorry no pic as my phone was in the house.  I was reminded how wonderful this tool really is.  I'll keep it on me and take a pic of how I carry it.

Thank you.  Yes its got some weight but utility is there so I enjoy carrying it.  Having the PW2 is a finger saver for me.  I tend to still use my fingers to try to tighten or remove or scrape things I really shouldn't.

I dont always need a blade so a blunt metal OPT that is many things besides a pry tool is nice to have back into my off day pocket.

Would anyone mind sending me the dimensions on one of these? As I’m sure you’re all aware, they’re very difficult to locate and I’ve decided to try making a similar tool. Mostly just need overall length, width and material thickness.

I don’t want to abuse the site rules in anyway or try to get around paying my fair share. I’m assuming the R&D section would be the appropriate place to post further? I don’t intend on mass production or profiting off it, maybe sending out a few for help prototyping and testing at max.

This is going to show my rather pampered lifestyle
Let me know if this is hijacking the thread and I’ll shut up. I shifted from working in warehouses to office so my main tool use has been the ones in the P4 Squirt and SAKs.
But I still carry the Knipex XS pliers and miss carrying the PW mainly for its better prying (compared to my Shard or the SAK bottle opener) and the additional bit opening when I need that extra screwdriver.

So between Knipex and the PW which has better application or usage to you? I guess this is more addressed to folks who carry these for work.

Note my question is not about functionality but which of these get used more often. I’m aware that it’s really dependent on your needs and what each tool offers. But just curious as for my pocket use I haven’t needed the Hulk grip that the Knipex provides. And the closed wrench portion of the PW hasn’t been a disadvantage yet.

Thanks!

Post by: Poncho65 on September 03, 2023, 11:31:18 PM
Never really carry a Knipex in my pocket (I have the one size up for the XS) so the PW gets more use but I do really like having a Knipex close by in my work backpack just in case
Title: Re: New love for the Pocketwrench II

I always have a PWII on me, but don’t carry a Knipex unless I anticipate need.
Title: Re: New love for the Pocketwrench II
Post by: Old Boy on September 04, 2023, 04:59:22 AM
Thanks for all the feedback. Yeah I’m think of leaving the Knipex in the car and just carrying the PW. I’ve stopped carrying a backpack and the pliers just seems a bit heavy in the pocket along my usual stuff.  I occasionally use the Knipex but nothing that a PW couldn’t handle.

It will take both :tu: it is an aftermarket handle for the LM Ratchet Driver  :salute: I like the smaller handle profile that it has vs the one that holds full sized 1/4 inch bits  I have a large handle that keeps regular longer bits in it that fits the LM Ratchet Driver as well but it stays at home because it is a bit to big for pocket carry :D

And would you mind sharing the source of that bit holder?!  :pok:

I won´t post a pic as I fear you will :twak: me, but I have been carrying a PW II copy alongside my MT (MP 600 or Swisstool X) and SAK for quite some time. I would have liked an original, but I only learned about them when they were no longer made and the "EDC Gear" branded copy is made well enouugh to serve me well for prying, scraping, opening service doors and turning a bolt or two now and then.

It is the Leatherman Ratchet Driver (fits in LM bit drivers) that they released a couple years ago  the handle (fits onto the ratchet drivers end) with bit storage is an aftermarket part made by Zapwizard, a member here, on Shapeways and on his own website :tu:

I did indeed find the BO on Ebay.  (EDIT: 2/2/2024 0710 CST  I just looked and there's one on there now)

Most of the time my finds are while acting as chauffeur and muscle for my wife while she's hitting yard sales and thrifting.  She has an Etsy shop and an antique booth so she spends a day or two a week looking for items to resell.  My "pay" for being her driver and strong back is finding a lot of cool things.

I found a box of about a dozen SAKs of various style and vintage this summer for $28.  :gimme:
