Just a bit of sharing. This is a rather simple mod but you would need some spare parts from a wingman/sidekick. I have alot of spare parts.. So no good leatherman were sacrificed in the process.. ;)
Doing this from a phone.. I have no idea how to arrange the guides accordingly to the pictures..
You will need,
1) A pivot screw from the pocket clip of wingman/sidekick.
2) lanyard ring from a PST. Optional.. The original one on the wave is useless. It have tool clumping so whenever u move the lanyard, all the tools will swing out. And it obstruct the usage of the implements.
3) A pocket clip from the wingman/sidekick obviously.. With the "pin" broken off.
4) A thick washer from the pliers of the wingman/sidekick. Or any similar will do.
Let's get on with the picture.

Will be doing a little shaping of the end of the clip as it's a little uncomfortable at the moment.
There's very little side to side play, almost none. Definitely way lesser than the clip attachment on the new wave, if any at all.

Nice mod ! :like:  :tu:

Minor re-profiled of clip end done. Feels and look much better! Another advantage of this clip, I do not have to search for my PE and SE blade. Cos I know SE is on the clip side. :D

cool. My brother has an original Wave and we were just talking yesterday about finding a way to put a pocket clip on it. :D

Yeah. There are always a time that there's no pockets or sheath to hold the tool. Just stuff it into the waist band and go. Never like just dropping tools into pockets even.

Nice work! I played around with different clips. Finally just went with a Nite Ize Hip Clip I got from eBay. Used a very strong adhesive strip for attachment.
