Hi Folks,
Just wondering (and planning a Wiki update)
I am thinking that the large Marlin Spike on the Skipper Pro is Victorinox's first brand new tool in a decade - Since the Rescue Tool's window breaker and glass saw? ??? (and seat belt cutter - although that was more of a re-design !)
I guess the Hunter Pro was more recent - Anything else? ???

There is also the sight adjustment tool on the FASS 90, I think that was introdced in 2017 or maybe 2016.
Some other new stuff on that SAK as well.

+WineMaster tools

Possibly the XAVT wrench although that was originally a Wenger tool (as was the FASS 90 implement).
-
What about the Cheese Blade:

The "V" catches on a ring near the end of a watch's spring bar. By using a levering action, you can push back the spring and release the spring bar from the watch case.
FYI: The spring bar is what holds the bracelet ;)

I can’t say that I noticed that mechanism on my F-91w.

This used to be a Wenger tool, but as I can see from your later comment, you knew that.

Nice side by side pic!
I just added the FASS 90 to the wiki but I don't have a lot of info on it. Feel free to edit its page :)

Wow! First time I see it! Thanks for sharing!

Casio does not use that system, but use pins that retain themselves.
Which also means you won't find a replacement just about anywhere.

This one can be freely and easily bought in Switzerland... the FASS/STGW 90 is the current Swiss Army rifle... The tough one to find is the Wenger version :)

I am after green-scaled Wenger version. That's a tough one indeed)

Thanks for all the replies so far folks - The knowledge here is amazing.
Yes how could I forget the fabulous WineMaster
EDIT: PS And yes the cheese blade does fall into the less than 10 years old category
Still think they should merge the WineMaster and Cheese Knife !! Any views? ???
The ex-Wenger tools I don't really count as 'new' - But certainly new to Vic
This FASS 90 model always fascinated me - And of course featured in Mr. E's puzzle challenge last year

Now I know why they make it!!
But ......... ......... shouldn't this therefore be the Swiss Army Knife? ???
And thanks for creating the new page for the Vic version Reinier :tu: - We should do the Wenger one too.

I have sent product suggestion to Victorinox about that (and I proposed to replace plan for a serrated blade too).

I just did the Wenger version as well. But I don't have any more info. I know exactly nothing about guns/rifles, so I have no idea what the markings on the front scale mean (though I do remember reading about them, maybe somewhere here on MTo ). So like I said, feel free to edit those pages.

New 111mm tool, fondue fork :P

How do I know you haven't been fondueing?
