Title: Disassembly of Leatherman tool and Warranty
Post by: Antonis Zita on November 15, 2018, 06:50:47 PM
Hallo everybody

I have a question about the warranty of Leatherman. Recently i bought a new wave 2. The handles were a little loose in closed possition. After tightening the pivot screws at the base of the plier head, the handles became tight, as they should be. But the screws got loose again after a few times of opening and closing the big outer tools. After that i took out these two screws, cleaned and lubricate the surfaces and added some loctite on the screws.
Now my wave is so nice. But i am worry if the disassembly of the tool is an issue for the warranty of Leatherman. Has anyone faced a problem with the warranty of a dissasembled tool?
Thanx in advance

Welcome to the forum Antonis.      I'm pretty sure you won't have any problems with the warranty.

Thank you for your welcome. And thank you twice for the information. Now i feel beter.  :woohoo:
I like my wave for edc. Knowing that the warranty will cover any damage, i can use it with more confidence.  :salute:
