I think I have a solution for this evening: I bought two pints of Jack Daniel's, and allowed only one to be seen. I will slowly drink one of them tonight and ensure that both are half full so that the one they can find makes it look like I only had half, which is about two and a half drinks. I'm on vacation too Dammit, I want to get sloshed!!

It has been done. A little blade reprofiling got rid of the crack and many beers assisted in the anger relief. I may need more tonight, it's time to finish the job that reprofiling started and put an edge on a slightly altered blade.

MW3 is as awesome as expected, though I'm only a few missions in and just a level 5 on Live so far. I'm sure there are more fun surprises in store!!
I'm still holding out for skyrim. Probably going AWOL next week after I grab a copy.
I have Skyrim coming to me friday the same way MW3 did, Amazon Preorder. I don't know which one I will be playing more!!

Ouch, this one hurt! I accidentally passed out in my armchair with my headphones in and the TV on. Just in case you all were wondering, a noise cancelling earbud in your ear canal for 6-8 hours = MUCH PAIN! Not to mention the headache I had from Mr. Daniel and his No. 7 wonder-juice. I am happy to see the extent of my drunken ravings equaled no more than a few typos. :D

Anyways I have no idea how many times my glass was refilled but I counted at least four ornfive. Anyways, I am pretty far gone but I suppose that's obvouhs fro. Me spelling. Thankfully auto correct is probably keeping PST of it legible.

That's quite a fun idea, you get to be 'involved' in the process and the company cut's it's overheads as it doesn't have to worry about storing the beer for two weeks. :D

Yesterday I went to the Griz Game with some friends and we met at a bar later and had two pitchers of Kettlehouse Cold Smoke, and that's my new favorite dark beer. You have got to try it! I was so drunk after that pitcher that I passed out on my bed once we got home. I wanted to post here but I couldn't stop the room from spinning.

It is pretty cool actually!! I'm not sure what the alcohol content is in it, but it definitely does seem stronger than store bought beer!! :drink:

Hmm, I'll have to see if we'd be able to get that here. I've heard that sometimes the Liquor store will bring in different drinks, but I've never tried it.

Making beer is easy and if you want to save money take a look at the cost of my last batch of Belgian Blonde Ale. $23 for 5 gallons. That works out to $9.20 per case or $2.30 per six pack.
That's what I'm talking about. How long do you have to let it sit before you can drink it?

I have drank beer that was less than a week old and there are others that I have aged for months. Usually if I am using my keg it will be ready to drink a few days after I put it in the keg, if I bottle it I'll usually wait at least 2-3 weeks.

Well, it's 4pm and I think I've just about recovered from last night. 6 beers and 3/4 of a bottle of whisky was probably not the smartest thing I've done recently. I've got a nice steady walk for a couple of miles now to go and fetch the car, which should help blow the last of the grogginess away

Also Johnie Walker makes some vintage whiskey, blended or not. (the black label is an affordable, easy to drink, classic, which I use to convert people to whiskey..).
The last US whiskey I had, a while back, was the Jack daniels, regular one, which I remembered from my youth as being nice, legendary. It was very dissapointing, really bad taste. I gave the bottle away to be used for cooking..
Maybe they changed it or maybe in my youth I just drunk anything.. :D

and I agree about the Glenfiddich -- I'm particularly fond of their 15 year; I actually prefer it over their 18 year. And Johnnie Walker Black label was, in fact, the one that converted me to whisky, but since then I have become very fond of single malts. :D I do still enjoy a nice blend once in awhile though.
as for the Jack Daniels... I'd chalk that up to youthful inexperience. there's a good reason that some of us Americans are more than willing to pay top dollar for imported Scotch whisky. (and Irish, too!) ;)

I think that the 15 from a few years back (10 or more) was more aromatic and flavourful but maybe I am wrong. :-\
Irish whiskeys, even the cheap Jamesons, are very easy to drink.
I am sure there are some nice US whiskeys/bourbons too, or maybe most people just use them in cocktails... :D

I got the Bushmills Irish Honey in my stocking my wife got me for Christmas :tu: It's much better than any of the offerings from the American bourbon makers have. Their stuff is way too sweet to me :td:

Yeah tell me about it :facepalm: It certainly doesn't smell or taste like it's meant for drinking. It goes well with Sunny D though :tu: But a little bit goes a looong way, as I found out after about a cup and a half of the mixture. This was also combined with a few beers I had consumed before the Everclear was brought out. I don't even thing that stuff is legal in my state. It came from down south with a friend of mine.
My wife was kind enough to shoot a quick video on our camera of my antics after we got home (none of which I remembered). If I hadn't stripped down to my boxers in that vid, I would love to share it just for the humor. I'm not even sure we still have it as it was on a laptop and camera we no longer have. My famous quote from that vid, "I already told that wall..." after I walked into it shoulder first. Apparently I had issues getting by that spot, and the wall and I had words and almost came to blows :rofl:

Been there a few times back during my bachelor days. I know I called in sick a few times when I initially became single almost 10 years ago. Many a night some friends would come over and I'd end up enjoying myself more than I should have >:D Good luck in the morning ;)

While I can't claim to be all that much more mature than 10-15 years ago, I have definitely slowed down on the partying. Like pretty much completely. Married life can do that to a man :-\. That and everyone just sort of gets their own lives going and move on from the constant hanging out and throwing a few back. At least that's what has happened with me and my buddies.

nobody seems to get drunk anymore in this forum... We are all too mature. ::) :D
While I can't claim to be all that much more mature than 10-15 years ago, I have definitely slowed down on the partying. Like pretty much completely. Married life can do that to a man :-\. That and everyone just sort of gets their own lives going and move on from the constant hanging out and throwing a few back. At least that's what has happened with me and my buddies.

Well, actually I smashed the guy that attacked my sisters (at that time) boyfriend into the wall. Now thinking back it's kinda funny how that pseudo gangsta couldn't fight me back :D
RT had later smashed this guys cousin to the ground for the same reason!

Well, that could be true depending on how you look at it ;) I will drink a beer on occasion when I can buy some, and that's usually some type of Sam Adams. I just don't have much of a desire to get full on drunk anymore. There's no real opportunity to do so anyway, and even if there is, I just don't feel the need at this point. I'll drink a few and catch a nice buzz, but drunk is no longer a desire for me. I have plenty of fun memories though :drink:
I've never been in a drunken fight. I was always more of a happy, sometimes rowdy drunk, but never beligerent or hot tempered like many can be. Actually, most of my buddies I'd hang out and drink with could be beligerent A-holes at times. So I've witnessed a few drunken fights, some of which took place at my place actually.

The only problems I had were on parties at clubs or on this one large sylvester party.
Once a friend became aggressiv and took a swing at another of my friends, but we could subdue him (This was onesided, even the 'target' had no reason to fight).
But alcohol can bring out some mean sides, that's true.

normally I'm a picky drinker. the only whisky I typically drink is single malt Scotch (neat, of course), with the occasional Irish whiskey (preferably single malt as well). a nice vodka tonic is also welcome, especially on a hot summer day. :D
however, when I'm already a few rounds in, and someone offers to buy a round of Fireball shots... :whistle:

Somehow I forgot that it's DOUBLE the strength of commercial spirits so I poured a "normal" measure (or two) into each glass. That effectively made then QUADRUPLES :drink:
I now have a case of the spins and several orders of crap coming from eBay and AliExpress. :ahhh :ahhh

I had my first beer(or 4) in nearly 3 months last night. I got halfway through number 4 and fell asleep at my desk. With my headphones on. And Nightwish blaring in my ears. Kind of a lightweight these days I guess.
Dude....a couple weekends ago I stayed at my father's to dogsit, and it was just me there. He always has some Natty Light in stock, and I figured I'd enjoy my freedom for the night. That was the first time I'd drank in a year or so. So I ended up only having 3 beers, but got a headache before I was even done, and it stuck with me all day the next day. I didn't even really catch much of a buzz. Sad that only 3 beers did that to me, when I used to be able to drink considerably more. Shows how easily the tolerance goes down once you slow down or stop that lifestyle altogether.

I guess if I started at kickoff for the first football game of the day and stopped when the last game was over I might be able to drink 20 or so, maybe 25, but the last time I had any beer I made it halfway through the fourth can and fell asleep!

This reminds me of the summer of 2000 in the island of Ios, a popular tourist destination here. We frequented a place where many people from the Antipodes preferred too. There was this girl around 18, really slim and small, that got smashed every night. One time I tried to count how many pints she had; I lost count at 13 in a few hours. :ahhh
Edit: In that place I was fool enough to take part in a drinking contest, to down 5lt of beer in shots faster than the other guy(s), last man standing sort of thing. I quit at 5 or 6 shots. :-[

Pacing, well mostly.
The first dozen (Tui) went down easy during yard and house work, hot day so nothing to it.
Head over to friends place for bbq, drink water for a couple hours, get the kids settled for the night etc.
Second dozen (Corona) went down over horror movies and trash talking.
Turned to coffee at 4am, one hour before kickoff.
Stayed with coffee until bubbles celebration time.
Breakfast: bacon, eggs, hash browns, mushrooms, french toast, whitebait fritters and sausages.
Back home at 10am, can feel the headache starting, time to start on the 'delay hangover' dozen (Stella).
Walked the dog, took the kids to the playground, watched the motogp replay, cooked burritos for dinner and sat in front of the fire.
I think of it as a warm up to National Crate Day...

If you're a smurf you can water it down to 40% but it's easier to just put half as much in the glass.
I have a litre of 96% bourbon and one of 96% gin in the pantry at the moment and they are not too bad.
For some reason it doesn't give you as much of a hangover the next morning as commercial spirits.
But oh does it knock you around if you pour it like 40%.
I'm quite "knocked around" at the moment actually.
The best part... it works out equivalent to about $3 per 26oz bottle if you want to drink "vodka" or about $6 for a bottle of flavoured spirits. Certainly better than $40.

Hmmmm, just found out that I ordered a pair of boots and a t-shirt from Israel....................I have no recollection of that at all. But the boots and t-shirt are cool so I have at least good taste when I am drunk :P
You better go check yourself in the mirror and make sure you don't have any new tattoos (or body piercings)! :D
Check the credit card bill for jewelry store charges too in case you bought more than one woman an engagement ring last night :pok:

last time i drank it was some 9 or 10 years ago. one of the best nights of my life. at least i think since i can't remember most of it.I had a similar experience involving Everclear some years back. I had a great night, but don't remember all of it. Thankfully my wife was there and filled me in on what I couldn't remember. Sounded like I continued to have a fun time. That was actually the last time I partied like that, but that was a wedding after party (a friend's), so it was fun.
