Sorry if I ask in the wrong place.. I simply could not figure out how to post pictures inline with the text.... any kind souls to help? Thanks in advance!

["img"]xxxxxxxx["/img"], with the address replacing the x's, and no quotes.
As for the required address... It depends. Are you trying to place an image that you uploaded to MTO as attachment?
If so,
Go to your profile>Show posts>click "attachments"
And right click on the desired attachment, and select the option "copy link address" or similar.
The link address should look something like "https://forum.multitool.org/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=74118.0;attach=339472". Put that in place of the x's:
["img"]xxxxxxxx["/img"] > ["img"]https://forum.multitool.org/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=74118.0;attach=339472["/img"] Make sure to remove quotes, and voilà:
Another scenario... Trying to place an image that you saw on another website inline.
Same concept, you just need the correct address, which usually has a .jpg or .png, etc, in it.
To make sure, right click on the image, select "view image" or similar. It should open in a new tab, by itself.
Example:
["img"]http://d3a1v57rabk2hm.cloudfront.net/voil%C3%A0/betterman-copy-1/images/VoilaVectorWebColors.png?ts=1479357471&host=www.voila.coffee["/img"]
Tip: When I am uploading attachments to MTO, I like to do it by putting them in a post in one of the many spam threads we have, like the thread killer one. :D
Then I can go to my attachments and copy the link.

Thanks Pablo! Trial and error time! :like:

Now why didn´t I think of that?
["img"]https://forum.multitool.org/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=69936.0;attach=340106["/img"]
It would save a lot of space on MTO servers since I´m posting the same pic in multiple threads. Can´t get it to work though.
Edit: it works now. Leave out the double quotes inside the img tags.

It's a learning process, innit?

Pablo could have done without the quotes in the first place
[img]xxxxxxxx[/img], with the address replacing the x's

I´ve re-learned something old. It´s been 20 years since I last wrote html code.

this may be easier from a website; when typing in the reply box, select the little mona lisa pic above the smilies to the left. that inserts this in the text box:(img)(img)
then from the website you are on right click the picture and select "copy image address" then just paste that between the 2 (img)(img)
-
Yes that is the easiest way.
