Title: Any third party bit extenders?
Post by: NetsNJ on March 18, 2018, 07:24:12 PM
The LM bit extender is $20-$25, which is outrageous.  That's a Gerber suspension.

Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative? Thanks!

You could by a normal 1/4 inch bitholder and grind it down to fit your Leatherman

Cabelas has for $15, best price I have seen.
There are several alternatives by modifying a 1/4” extender.

Carry a dedicated bit driver. If price is the paramount concern, I'm sure you can get one for under five dollars.

There's a slim chance I might have one kicking about. If I can find it tomorrow, you can have it if you want.

I bought one early on.  After I saw how "easy" it was to grind a 1/4 extender I've made a few.

It's a super kind offer, but with shipping to USA it's probably not worth the hassle.  Thank you though!
