Title: Scissor Spring on Spirit.

Is there any way to remove the scissor spring on my Spirit to sharpen the scissors? I tried cutting coupons with the scissors and they kept getting jammed up..

Bend the scissors sideways away from the spring (gently!  It doesn't need to go far) until the spring bar pops out of the notch on the moving blade.
