Well, I was watching videos on youtube and I stumbled across this- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pVYhdiN2Fk The SwissTool cuts all the wire with ease besides stranded wire!
-
Hmm, no one cares!
-
I was waiting for your video of a Surge cutting through some Rebar like it was butter :P :D . It would be interesting to see how quick a Surge could do the same test.
-
The SURGE could probably cut all of that wire with the hard wire cutter no problem. But, the SURGE will also cut the stranded wire cutter with the stranded wire cutter! :)
-
it's embarrassing when cutting that steel wire.maybe becacuse the plier of vic is too loose.leatherman is tighter.
-
Thanks LM123 great find .Strange how he didnt try the front notch for the stranded wire .I would have done if the rear one didnt work .

Must be related to LM123 trying to disprove Swiss Tools superior over ALL other,
even the blessed "Surge". :pok:

I bet the Deathgrip would cut it. :multi:
-
Actually I was not to impressed by that. He seemed to have a ton of trouble cutting most with it.

It's the latest thing.

I was cutting the foil duct off a dryer and the little wire in it damaged my swiss tool pretty bad. I don't have the tool any more or I would post pics. I have used the cutters and they are good but this suprised me.
-
Why, what happned to the tool?
-
I gave it to my father in law
-
Oh, I thought you tossed it or something!
-
The wire in that , foil backed duct is low end spring steel . It will screw up dedicated wire cutters . Best cut with shears .

Yup! Stranded wire really makes my multi-tools' wire-cutters bind... I've had the same experience with Victorinox SwissTool, Gerber Multi-Plier and Leatherman Charge while cutting thin gauge, stranded wire used for electricals. I had to use shears instead. ;)
