The winter magic arriving today triggered the thought I’d start on the alox badges, 5 today for level 1

Thanks Max, I’ve got a aqua blue cadet ordered…the PX is a great SAK I’ve ended up ordering a normal alox version as I know I won’t want to use this LE :facepalm:

Yes alox collecting does seem to be extremely addictive :think: I’ve mainly silver ones but the cadet has so many colours available I’m finding it irresistible …thankfully I’m saving on travel and lunch in the city while working from home so have been redirecting those funds…only in an effort to save the world economy you understand :pok:
Someone has to do it :)

I've stayed away from Alox, but may pick up a Classic to play with during the Minimal challenge :think:

Thanks Greg, I was always a cellidor guy and although I still buy both, recently have found alox to be seriously addictive and find myself looking out for it more.
I’m both a user and a collector so the colours are really for display with the silver alox and cellidors for use.
Don’t think you’ll regret getting a classic in alox, even thinner than the regular version :cheers:

Been waiting for the standard red Cadet, as opposed to the berry red (similar but standard red a bit nicer I reckon) for posting a level 2 pic :cheers:

That's quite possible! I just checked and I have the same logo on non-Victoria stamped SAKs as well. Interesting :)

The standard red alox, although I don’t think discontinued, was actually quite hard to find. Most eBay and Amazon sellers have the LE berry red :think:

Level 3 badge request. Been waiting on a couple for some time, and then like busses, all arrive together.
Received the green cadet, OC pioneer & pocket pal and 1961 soldier (from 1964) since last pic.
My tax rebate put to good use :)

My personal favorite is the 2017 LE Green, I collect the yearly LE Pioneers, and I liked the 2017 so much that I bought two of them (did the same for the Purple 2016, but that's because I want to give one of them to my daughter later on, since she was born in 2016).
Just beware, Alox are way more addictive than regular Celidor SAKs.

That collection is the one I’m really obsessed with :twak:
The green cadet was hard to get for anything but silly prices, harder than the 2016 which is also quite rare, well in comparison to the other years. Didn’t want to pay a small fortune like they are on eBay so was able to do a deal for 3 SAK’s from a Facebook seller so ended up fairly reasonable. I’ve not even seen a 2015 blue listed so that may be it until next release

They had 3 of them at a very small, local outdoor shop. I bought two of them (one for me, and one for Nick "Mechanickal"). The third one, while also being brand new, was missing the small piece of cardboard that slides over the box, that's why I didn't buy it.
So good news is that it's NIB and goes for normal retail price (if I remember correctly, around 40 Euro), bad news is that it doesn't come with the complete box (missing the thingy that slides over the box) , and I don't know if they still have it.
And due to Covid-19 lockdown, the store is closed and I don't know if I can get a hold of the owner to get my hands on that Cadet (that sounded wrong... ::)).
And I have no idea what shipping would cost either, but I'm going to try and contact the store first, just to check if they still have it.
