Hi there!
I'm Nick, from Belgium, 25yo, alarm technician.
I'd like to say I'm new to this forum, but I'm not!
I visited this place multiple times allready as a guest to get ideas, opinions and some eye candy from it's users.
Time to give something back perhaps?!
My passion for SAK's and multitools started when I was handed my first SAK from my parents as a child: a Victorinox Sportsman.
It rested in a drawer for some years, 'till I got out of school and started "the grown man's life".
I polished the tools and handles to new-like condition and it now rests on my display as a novelty.
Since then I upgraded my collection over the years with:
- A Gerber Suspension as an EDC work knife, which died on me after 2 drops...
- A Victorinox Spartan with Austrian flag on the scale as a souvenir from Austria (where else?)
- A Victorinox Spartan Translucent light blue.
- A Victorinox Huntsman with camo print
- A Leatherman Charge AL,
- A Victorinox DAK91 (NOS)
- A Victorinox Mountaineer Late 80's from a flea market in newlike condition. The seller asked €4 which made me feel happy for myself, but offended in the knives' place.
- A heavily used Victorinox Swisstool. Craved for one for months untill I found one second hand in terrible condition. Like new after cleaning and polishing.
- Last but certainly not least, my new flagship since today: An unused Swisstool Spirit S Black Oxide!
I hope I can mean something to this wonderfull place with all it's members who, together, give info and details about virtualy anything MT related.
Thank you all!
Sidenote;
I'm in to flashlights and watches as well!
Edit: Just added a pic... so at least I know how to do that now as well.

How could you not? The Spirit is arguably the most beautiful multitool of them all, and the black coating adds an air of mystery to it. Very dig-worthy!

Welcome aboard, nice collection already.
There is Spirit 30 day challenge coming up from what I have understood.
November is a 111cm SAK and the Spirit in December.
It is a great way to share your use and photo talents!

So proud you guys want to have me here. And I'm curious what the future will bring to MTO and everyone in it.
I'm counting down to the first of October :D
By the way...
How many years before I'm considered a local??

Congratulations Mechanickal

Nono, too early :D

I like being early :D

1 year! :ahhh
3 years :ahhh
-
Wow. Amazing typo...
-
Glad to have had you, buddy :tu: 3 years doesn't make one local but the amout of posting to me does  We have members that have been here for years but have few posts and many here have no idea who they are  :D So by you posting so much, you have made yourself a local :salute: :tu: but members who put any time at all into MTO are considered local to me as well ;) :D
-
Do I get an MTO passport now??
-
If you do, let me know cause I still don't have one :D
-
I must say time does seem to streak faster and faster as I age.
You do a great job sharing your experiences and collection, so I think you are an established local.
