here's our place other than Climber Club
Day1 nothing yet....

Day 1 and just a couple of uses; feeding the birds and tightening up a lose handle on a pan.
-
Great uses Gareth :like: :tu:
-
Thanks for the suggestion Gareth!
So far I did use the scizzors!
-
Day 1
Touched up the large blade for the challenge and used the small one to open instant coffee.

Nice one Exeter :like: :tu:

I am unable to post on here, not other sites, I did get the badge for the Huntsman Challenge previously. I'll keep trying though. Thanks for the reminder. :salute:

GM day 2
Put the TP back in, no reason for the Firefly unless I want to set the stack of work on my desk on fire...hmmm
Check avi. that works!

Oh, okay, I see! :tu: I was just making sure you're not missing out on something.

Day 2
Trimmed a couple of rogue eyebrow hairs today. One of the many reasons why I rarely carry any SAK or MT without scissors.
-
Nice pic Exeter :like: :tu:
-
Day 2 here. Trimmed some toenails and, lets be honest, no-one wants to see pictures of that. :D However much more appealing is gaining access to a packet of biscuits.
-
Bourbon nice   :like:

Bourbon nice   :like:
I've nothing against a chocolate Hobnob, a Jammie Dodger or whatnot but in my opinion the Bourbon is King of the biscuit tin. :hatsoff:

:iagree: with you on that one Gareth  :like:

Aaand finally the penny dropped, I made the connection! So that's why your avatar changes every day... Better late than never.
-
I really put the climber to work today. I'm in the process of moving. I broke down an old mattress and a butt load of boxes using only the climber. Took apart some appliances.
Just gave the blade a much much-needed touch-up up after attacking that mattress. I'm ready to go for day 3
-
good morning day3. :salute:
-
Day 3
Nothing to report from today.
-
...uh...oops...
was supposed to be gifted Climber, cap lifter, bottle of Sam
-
Day 3. Doing a bit of tinkering with an old camping stove and made a new washer to try and seal the filler cap. Not 100% successful but it was better than before.

Nice one Gareth :like: :tu:

Day 4 and I've had a quiet day so far, so you'll just have to do with a beauty shot.

Day 5 - 2 of 30
My EDC is my Vagabond, the small 3D Phillips and orange peeler are always useful.
The Climber is replacing my Buck knife, and I will be trying to cut back on a plier tool for carry beyond my PT work hours.
Then must make a decision, to open my SilverTech Climber for the challenge or not?(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190505/54f10a051140e61c652e758ca1fde4cc.jpg)

Thank you Tony and WS.
The pouch is LM Wave leather style. Also, have a SwissArmy style.
After carrying the Climber in front right pocket and slipping face forward on the ice, the Climber caused a deep muscle bruise and pinched a nerve in the leg. I now carry in a sheath.

Glad to see you joined! Also, I'd leave the Silvertech one as it is, the good old red one will serve you just as well, won't it? On the other hand is there a better time for the other Climber to make its debut than now, in the challenge?

Traveled this afternoon to middle of Indiana, and then further west. Have CPO class for next 2 days further south near even less. So I brought these two potato skins back to the camp site just in case hunger occurs. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190507/49023b18eac9d854b2ee53e66930fc79.jpg)

Day 8. Just a bit of personal grooming as the scissors are excellent for trimming the odd errant beard hair, but that's pretty much impossible to photograph without growing an extra arm so here's a cute picture of my dog instead. :D

That’s a shame Gareth maybe you would be aloud
to post your pic for day 7 to be still in the challenge :tu:

Sticking with el Stayglo for now; my new place has cement floors... el Blanco climber suffered a scale-chipping fall so it'll be the Stayglo or classic red. I'm wondering, would a Climber Small be accepted for this challenge?

Well done, congrats! :tu:
And, I'm really not trying to be funny, but I totally missed when you explained what CPO means, so when you posted your practice exam photo, my very first thought was "wow, these Navy guys sure learn a lot about pools for working on sea", as I automatically assumed it was Chief Petty Officer. :) Anyway, I knew something was amiss and did a search for CPO + pool and voila, it made sense right away. :D

Day 16. So one of the good reasons to carry a Climber rather than a Super Tinker is the option to have the mini-screwdriver. Given my wife, daughter and I all wear glasses for various reasons and at various times it's very handy to have to hand.

Kitchen duties. The avocado speaks for itself, and for nostalgia's sake I bought a can of spam-style meat from my childhood, that's so retro that it still comes without a pulltab. (And it tastes much worse than I remembered - I guess they called it "lizard meat" in the army for a reason...)

No, she defintely remembers you. :) Once she saw photo of you with your dog here on the forum while I was browsing around and she just loves dogs, and at some other point she heard you talking in one of your YT videos, and as she's a sucker for any type of Scottish accents she liked it, so I told her who's the person behind the voice. There, the Mrs. is definitely a fan of yours. ;)

My Climber’s scissors helped to free one new cousin from its package. The other will remain as is.

Day 29
Cut up some banana again and tightened a knob on my wife's lingerie drawer, it works itself loose every 2-3 weeks.
Any news on the bagde? I'm curious of the design. (I hope it's black as my one and only, trusty Climber is black as well... :) )

...a drop of Gorilla brand glue and they will never be loose again...Never!
As for the badge, that's for the Kinght's commanding officer to decide I guess :salute:

...although I like the lanyard on my gifted, I really found the Tec P7, or the copy, really helpful in this carry , hardly notice the glow SAK.

very nice gents.

Day 30! :woohoo: So I have this excellent, old school, rain coat. Not really breathable, but 100% waterproof and perfect for keeping in the car in case of being caught out. The only downside is that the pockets have Velcro pads to keep them closed and they catch the back of your had every single time you want to use them. Well; not any more! :D

THANKS again awl

Yeah, good job everyone. :hatsoff: This has been fun and it confirms the Climber is all the SAK I "need" to carry most of the time. Of course that doesn't mean for a second that I'll be selling off all my others. :D

Day 30 - 27 of 30
Mowed the yard prior to weekend and between daily storms or showers.
The Climber’s hook caught a handlebar ride on bike style wind ornament, except the camera stops all motion. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190530/c54bf5f6977561e7bcb202b8cdf3ce05.jpg)

This challenge has reaffirmed my admiration for the climber, especially El stayglow. I cracked the scale on my white cellidor early on in the challenge with a drop on a cement floor. I'm going to keep the torch burning through another day to complete the month of May. :salute:

Well, first a badge should be created, because afaik there's no Climber badge yet. Once that's done you'll be able to request it in the Awards section.
And a bonus pic for the 31st day - the Climber is going back to the SAK chest, while the Pioneer X is waiting in the wings for another 30-day challenge starting tomorrow.

Good luck with your next challenge tomorrow Exeter :like: :tu:

Day 31 - 28 of 30 (2 to go)
Replacement microwave arrived, used the Climber’s flat blade to remove the staples and the main blade to cut open the tape. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190531/3ef91f128f2852c6f4aabfaa393a282e.jpg)

Day 33 - 30 of 30 (completed)
Climber’s HOOK was the right tool for the task today.
Due to a dislocated toe, I wear a toe pillow under that toe, and the strap pulled out of position. I was able to insert the hook through the cushion slot, position the strap inside the hook and then pull it back inside and out the slot. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190602/c3ca1cceb3a161c81bd74468ac211baf.jpg)picture shows the hook with the strap after it pulled it through the pillow.

Congrats on completing the challenge! :salute:
Also, you could easily apply for a hook badge with this.

Interesting! I usually use the UPH to remive stones from the car tires.

So I guess a mod or admin would have to make a badge.... :dunno:
-
...any answer gang? I think we are deserving of a badge, understanding it may not be easy as I have no understanding of computers....
-
Anyone is free to start a challenge.
However that doesn't mean a badge will be made.
Badges need to be requested via PM to a moderator and then they must be approved by admin preferably prior to the challenge starting.
The usual second requirement for a badge is that five or more participate and complete the challenge.
Tony, the daily pic thing and lack of badge was pointed out and yet you didn't sort it or ask for help.
While changing your avatar pic was a good idea it unfortunately doesn't really work in this case.
Here is my offer, you find a way to post your challenge pics and I'll see about having a badge made.
-
I was told don't worry about a daily pic just post. I started this darn thing.
I should have looked to see no badge available, that's why I was gracious to add I don't have the computer ability and hate to give volunteers extra work (new badge design) and I thank you for all your MTO time. No beers while on MTO from now on!
Can I change my avi daily? or it has to be a pic for challenges?
Sorry to bug ya, thanks again.
I'll not challenge until I get rid of this work phone...retire!

How many avatar pics did you take?
Avatar pics can't count towards a badge but I'm willing to make an exception if you do post the pics and there is enough of them.
