Title: Tag sale find
Post by: kmanct3 on May 18, 2018, 07:32:58 PM
Found this Explorer at a tag sale ..... 1.00$ ! Scales were loose and broken, you could hardly open any of the blades, no snap at all. Removed scales , soaked overnight, sharpened blades , oiled as needed, installed plus scales and corkscrew screwdriver, pen , toothpick and tweezers and behold !

A whole dollar, what a deal. I'll give you $2 and you can double your money  :D

I can't even buy tweezers or a toothpick for that.  People want $15 for a darn Schrade/Adler Classic clone.  The only SAK I've found at a decent price at a flea market was a Classic (I bought it with a large group for a good price). A guy wanted $18 for a battered AT*T advertising Climber (in blue Ecoline) $12 for a Sportsman with broken tools, and another guy $25 for an unused Explorer (supposedly new, so it might have been a pretty good deal).

Nice restoration job.  :tu:
Is that a list on the lid of your parts container saying what parts are in each compartment? :dd:
