Not a lot of wood processing for me but I do have a few hatchets. I got them all pretty banged up with the exception of the carpenters hatchet with no name. I dont know anything about the other 2 other than they are pretty nice little camp tools.
The Super Banko is my favorite and could still use some edge refinement but its sharp and does what I need. The Vaughan is a nice one and I recently put on the handle. Hickory is what I believe it is and not that its got a protective finish on it I like it even more.
I used 2 coats of linseed oil for now and may apply more at a later time. I'm happy with my results and they and they are ready for camping.

Thanks guys :salute:
I had been waiting to do this but I had a few too many projects in front of them. I love the smell of Boiled Linseed Oil in the morning.

The wood does look much much better for sure. I really should have posted pictures of the handles before sanding. I tend to get wrapped up in the process then remember to snap pics.

Nice job on those.
