Title: Custom SAK & A Hello
Post by: sticktodrum on September 30, 2013, 03:07:03 AM
Hello gents. I've been a long time lurker, but only recently decided to sign up. I've been a member at places like Bladeforums for a long time, but mutlitools and SAKs have been a real passion for me. I have more SAKs than any other multi, so I figured I'd say hello right here and show the item that's taken over my pocket real estate since I got it.

It's a custom SAK build done by Syph on BF, and it's essentially a Pioneer with scissors and a Philips driver. The scales were hard anodized, and quite robust. It's hard to put this thing down.

Welcome to the forum, sticktodrum. (http://i1255.photobucket.com/albums/hh627/enki_ck/Smiley/drum.gif)

Nice to have you with us. :salute:

Yes, we know all about Syph007. ;) This is the place where it all started (http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,34772). I'm sure he'll be along soon to greet you himself.

Lovely twins you have there, though I'd like them better with red liners. :D That's my favorite tool combo of his mods too. :tu:

What other multis and SAK do you have in your collection?

Thank you for the warm welcome.  :) Looking around, this really seems like an amazing place. Syph is a genius, thank you for posting that link. Insanely cool reading that I'll get done over a good chunk of time.

I've got, so far, a Compact, 2 alox customs, black Cadet, the 5 Cadet Colors pieces, +B Carver in green, silver Lumberjack, Cybertool 34 in onyx, and a SAK that I just cannot identify. It's my very first knife, a gift from my dad, but I have no idea what it is. It looks just like a Champion Plus, but there's no hook or small flat driver on the back, just the cork screw, awl, and medium flat driver. I'll get a picture of that up soon.

 :D

Apart from the SAKs, I've got LM Charge AL, Wave, PST (in box with papes....yummy 90s brochure!), Wingman, Squirt PS4 & ES4, Surge, Blast, and Style PS. Oh yeah...and an OHT...not a big fan of that thing.

Welcome aboard.  It sounds to me like you simply have an older model Champion.  I don't recall when the small flat driver was added, but I believe the hook was introduced in 1991.

Thank you gents. I appreciate the warm welcome. Having perused around here thoroughly, I see I missed some excellent scores on EDCsource, so I've got some catch up to do hunting those down. :)

And yes Kirk, I believe I have one of those lying around somewhere...
