I was looking into the 5600-1jf I believe it’s called. Basically the 5600 that’s made for the Japanese market and is completely blacked out. I was ready to order and stumbled across the GX-56BB Blackout. It’s a monster!!! It’s known as the KING by G-Shock fans because of its size and outstanding durability. As we know all G’s are durable but this goes above and beyond. It’s also solar powered which really sold me on this model. Plus I don’t mind large watches. It should arrive in a week or so and I can’t wait to get it!

It is also more mud resistant.
The buttons require more force than usual to push in, but it does have presence

The 5600 in Super-Size. The G-Shock in various models is the watch of choice for soldiers and marines living among the insects and arachnids in the silty sand for good reason. Solar powered with periodic syncing to any of a half-dozen time standards, they're nearly indestructible. I've seen some demos of how robust they truly are, albeit the methods were less than scientific or controlled. Had these been around in the mid-1960's, NASA might have used them instead of the Speedy for the Gemini and Apollo missions.

Just looked it up and WOW that thing is a monster! Very cool! I've been wearing a solar/atomic Mudman for about 6 or 7 years now and I love it. The buttons are a little harder to push but not bad. It's been put through the ringer and hasn't missed a beat! Congrats on the new G :tu:

I can dig it! I'm very large and the normal size watches look ridiculous on me lol
Waiting for cap to take photos............
