A big crowd gathered at the oval office. POTUS called for an emergency meeting. Everyone needs to be there.
People are rushing in and taking their seats immediately.
First entering the premises are the Secret Service.

After the room is carefully swept for bugs the other attendees arrive. Meet the Intelligence community.

As soon as the spies took they seat, some other important people enter the room. There's the Vice President, State Department, a Senator and the Department of Defense:

Quickly being followed by the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Chief of Naval Operations...

Also present are representatives of law enforcement (FBI and DEA) and the Coast Guard.

After the meeting finished, the President rushed out. A crowd of reporters stood outside the White House. No statement was being made, so what was discussed inside is still unclear.
We do know that the President went straight to the Capitol, where he was being heard in a closed session by the Senate, presided by the Vice President.

The Department of Defense mobilized the National Guard in Tennessee and Florida.

RUAG is a very large Swiss company, producing mainly ordnance stuff, like ammo. RUAG took over Dynamit Nobeld AG, the largest German small arms ammo manufacturer. They for example produce the duty ammo ("9mm x 19 Action NP") for the Dutch police forces. Many millions of rounds each year.

And yet another example of how popular the 58's are with people from a president on down. A give away 58mm SAK is never a bad thing. Maybe that's why they really are the most popular pocket knife in the world.

Lyndon Johnson really did carry one. When we toured his ranch down the road from us, the tour goes through his living quarters and in the walk-through of the master bathroom and walk through of the bedroom, there was a nice wooden valet tray on the dresser with odds and ends in it that were his stuff. A nice well used looking pen, some tie clasps, a watch, and amount them all was a well used looking black Vic classic. I can only wonder if that was the pocket knife that LBJ ranted about falling out of the too shallow pockets, to the head of Hagar clothing when he wanted to order pants with deeper than norm pockets?! A hilarious conversation, I think it's on you-tube.

I think I only have one defense/government related SAK and it’s European defense. A variation of the Rescue Knife, doesn’t have the one-handed blade. Kind of an expensive giveaway I think. EADS (European Aeronautical Defense and Security) is now Airbus Defense and Security I believe. :cheers:
