Title: Walking the dog...
Post by: DaveK on July 17, 2016, 10:42:24 PM
Just got back from walking the dog around the local lake / pond and the sunset was kind of nice. I wish I'd taken the drone but had to make do with my iPhone.

The local kids have a habit of throwing the life preservers in the water, and the dog got to this one before I did!

A quick game of "scratch your eyes out" with one of our cats as we arrive back home:

That's my favourite too. Might make a nice wallpaper for the PC actually!

Cheers Chako. Not bad for an impromptu iPhone pic!

We actually have two cats with those markings - the other one is older and is shaped like a football.

It's a bit like a zoo here at times.

I can imagine. I have a pair myself, and they keep me busy enough.

Dave I haven't said it yet but I'm happy to see you back.  When I first joined up it was the PST Chronology that you all so diligently worked on that I loved so much.  I appreciated all the posts and chat among those of you who posted regularly.  Anyways  :salute: good to see you back in the mix.

Great pics of your furry family too.  The scenery shots are lovely as well.

Thanks - I appreciate that :)

EDIT: Incidentally, I might try and have a crack at that sunset again tonight with the drone - need to see how the day unfolds.....

Cheers sawman! I can't take any credit really I just pointed and clicked, lol. Mother nature should get the credit for that one I reckon.

Beautiful place to live there, Dave.  And as others have said, nice photography.  :)

It's funny - its not really a beautiful place at all, but they are trying! That lake used to be an opencast coal mine believe it or not! We're kind of on the edge of a built-up and not pretty area. We do have the advantage of being right in the middle of the country which means there are lots of pretty places in easy reach, but we do have to travel a bit, lol.
