Hi there Benner what's the model of that spiderco next to boker (second from left) with white scales? looks very good thx.
Benner:
What is the third one in from the right? Looks like a nice little slipjoint.
Yes, it doesn't have a badge on it. I have tried contacting Spyderco, but they don't carry the badges anymore. :(

Oh, so it broken then. Best send it to me, I think its spoiling the rest of your collection :P
Neil
Don't make me use that smiley again on the public forum :D
Neil
What is the bottom one?
I wanna see :pok:
So I'm safe for a few months then, 33 being officially old and all :DI wanna see :pok:
It's not suitable for you oldies. :D
I wanna see :pok:I wouldn't want to offend you. You don't do naughty things like try and blackmail ribbed Cadets out of me :P
No, but i do have a bit of a cunning plan to make you some money ;) ;)I wanna see :pok:I wouldn't want to offend you. You don't do naughty things like try and blackmail ribbed Cadets out of me :P
Neil
Is it so cunning you could brush your teeth with it? :)No, you probably wouldn't want to do that :o
Neil
Does it involve Neil wearing a thong?Well, no. At least not at first :D
I'm certainly not up for that :twak: Unless I finally get a tactically knitted paracord codpiece ;)But what would you do with all that left over paracord :P
Neil
I can't stand seeing all these knives, I may actually have to consider buying (gulp) A quality knife.
So I'm safe for a few months then, 33 being officially old and all :DI wanna see :pok:
It's not suitable for you oldies. :D
I couldnt even afford a Tonydanza.I can't stand seeing all these knives, I may actually have to consider buying (gulp) A quality knife.
Do it once, do it right. Get a Sebenza ;) :D
Yes, it doesn't have a badge on it. I have tried contacting Spyderco, but they don't carry the badges anymore. :(
It's what friends are for :DSo I'm safe for a few months then, 33 being officially old and all :DI wanna see :pok:

...nice knowing I've been officially old for three years. Thanks mate! :twak:

Thank you. Altogether they probably cost less than your sebenza. :P
But look how many you have. If I had bought the Sebenza first, I would never have needed to go buy another folder.
If you think about it, the Sebenza saves you money :D :D
That Extrema Ratio is one sweet looking knife!! I also had just seen a CRKT My Tighe, which is the first serrated knife I think I would like. It seems easy enough to keep the serrated part sharp, anyone have one? You'd best hope that it is easy to keep sharp, as CRKT aren't famous for there edge holding :D
You'd best hope that it is easy to keep sharp, as CRKT aren't famous for there edge holding :D
I counted just my one handed folders today, they came in at a shocking 47! Whoa. When I get some time I will take a pic :D
Here you go Benner, enjoy.....I see you still have that LM folder. How do you like it?
This does not include SAKs, traditional slipjoints or my multi's
Plus there were some rascals that I could not find (probably in the car)
Nutz the Griptillian uses a plastic that they give a tecky name to, but it is a reinforced plastic but it does work well. I would suggest that if they interest you look really into the D2 model. It holds an edge forever.
hey Nutznboltz sorry I took so long to respond!
we luv our Griptilian. Axis locks are wonderful! (fun too). Well made, secure grip (hence the name)
and a nice overall design (in many models, I want more).
the scales/handles are what they call, Noryl GTX which is a fancy type of plastic and they do initially feel cheap
and sound cheap but they are NOT! they are strong and can take a beating, abuse; chemical, weather, dirt, all
kinds of nasty stuff that would worry me with other scales, so I like them (took a little bit).
you consider 60-70 u.s. dollars pricey? are you related to lame?(funny member here) :P I thought it was a bargin for what
you get and the lifetime warranty. If you want to know anything else just ask ;) :tu:
I have D2 leek and feels it's no harder or easier to sharpen compare to 154CM.
I saw that knife on DealExtreme.. How is it?

Yes, I'm pretty sure we all already know that. ;)
Not everything from DX is knock-off anyway. I got a little Fenix torch from there, and that's genuine.
And Eddie - I completely agree with you on that :tu:

Hmm perhaps I should've rephrased that. I mean knife wise the name brand ones appear on DX are not genuine. I was in no way being arrogant, just want people to know what they are getting. If I appeared to be arrogant I apologize, that was not my intention.

'Twas just a misunderstanding I'm sure, when you spout rubbish on forums all day (like we all do), it's easy to be ambiguous or to read something that wasn't intended.
The best thing about this forum is that everyone will realise that and forget about it really quick!
I do like it when Ben gets all masterful though, it suits him :D
If you don't hear from me again it's because I've been banned (or should that be benned)? No being Benned is a whole other thing :o :o :D

It's a Gator knife by Gerber, Dave.

The problem with knives is that apart from being highly addictive (which I'm finding out ::) ) is that they can cost so much and you can easily spend silly money on them. If I was to buy all the above new at UK prices that would be close to £1k. That's a ruddy lot for a handful of folders. :oNo kidding, just ask this guy with spikey hair how much he spent on his sebenza along, probably more than all my folders put together.
Nice collection Benner, the blade on that CS Med. Voyager Tanto ( that's a mouthful ) looks well used. The secoondary point looks to have completely worn away from repeated sharpenings, or did you remove it purposely?. I love that knive, I've edc mine for more than 10 years now.

Sorry guys , didn't mean to hit a nerve. Lets just say its a nice little folder and leave it at that. ;)Oh don't worry about those two, they are like that all the time.
I don't have any "quality" folders. About the closest I have are the 2 for the price of 1 Byrd knives I picked up earlier in the month. But in all honesty, they're good enough for my occasional use. I've found that I can't put the Meadowlark Rescue Blade down, it just feels "nice".
I wouldn't mind picking up a quality folder sometime, but probably only if there;s a bargain or such, or a gift :D

You know, that's a good question!
I would say, something that feels solid in the hand, not heavy, but you know it's there. A blade that opens and closes smoothly but with a reassuring snap as the lock engages. A blade made from decent steel that you know is strong and will retain it sharpness for when you need it.
Does that make sense?
I EDC all sorts of stuff that lock, but this would probably be for around the house stuff rather than EDC.
As it happens, the debate is at an end, and a certain helpful gent has arranged for me to get my hands on a decent knife ;)
Will report more later!
Indeed, I'm sticking with one. For safety :)
Neil
Man that's a beautiful knife!
Shoulda gotten me one when I had the chance!

Gotta love those Opinels! Which one is that?
Def
Yeah, I have a few now, and have had many more over the years. Those carbon steel blades rust like crazy if not maintained, but they also take a wicked edge!
Def
No probs, it shall be there!Cool :tu:
Ya know you got a great little Grippy there. It looks like the D2 steel one so ya know what that means. You will never have to really sharpen the thing as much. You will love it!

Gene, I only only wish that opportunity was there while I was in Manila Last week.Hi Edi, how was your meet with gene?

Yeah but it isn't how big it is that matters, it's how you use it. Or so I'm told ;)
So that's basically a sword then Gareth?
Yeah but it isn't how big it is that matters, it's how you use it. Or so I'm told ;)
So that's basically a sword then Gareth?
I should have said the it is simply know as a Navaja, a traditional form of Spanish knife. Often associated with Gypsies, Bandits and the Sevillian region.
And no, it's not a sword but I might have a few of them too.
I see that word (Navaja) all the time whilst trawling ebay for Leatherman gear. I'm embarrassed to say I thought it meant "new" or something.
Example (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NAVAJA-LEATHERMAN-WAVE-MULTIUSOS-FUNDA-CUCHILLO-ACERO_W0QQitemZ330308725026QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_186?hash=item330308725026&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A10|39%3A1|240%3A1318).

I prefer the partially serrated blades tbh, but that one is what was for sale, so I thought, why not?
Solid!
Absolutely no play at all. I'm impressed at the price.
In truth, it's a knife I probably won't use much as it's a bit big, but I wanted to try a Spyderco and see what the difference was compared to the Byrd series.
Tbh, I can probably stop looking since GG sent me that Mini Griptilian - it is absolutely perfect for me that one.
Didn't know you'd gone for the fully serrated version.:ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :D
Don't let Mike see that. :D
Nice! 8)
One thing that's always put me off of the other FRN Spydies is the moulded clip as I would be worried about breaking it off and therefore being unrepairable. How solid does it feel?
Nice! 8)I never had a problem on mine :)

Me neither...
...however it will not stand up very well to a Polar Bear nibbling on it.... :PProbably not :o, but it would buy him time to employ a bigger, more blunt weapon...like his wit for example :D

Perhaps that's because they used them and weren't just drawer queens.
Oh and I don't lower myself to that level Mike. :P :D

I like orange as well. As long as it's the super bright one. A duller orange doesn't appeal to me.

How about some pics CGK? Seems the Storm2 and Vapor2 are similar except for the clipI think storm 2 has a fatter blade. In fact storm 2 has the fattest blade of all my folders.
That looks cool. :)
Bushmaster is only 5 mins away from me in Maine, and my neibor is actually a big muckity muck there.
I had the exact same problem with storm II, it's so hard to open and the thumbstud is so sharp I had to put a band aid on my thumb after a few hours of owning it. I grind down the ball bearing as well, not all the way down thou, still some bit left to keep blade in closed position. Alternatively you can take a hammer to tap the ball in further, which unfortunately I only learned after the fact.
i REALLY Like that fat bladed boker magnum!!!!!!!!

Nice collection Viking. :tu: I really like the look of the Buck Striders. :)
Good to hear from you mate.
Very nice Donvito.
The Serac S2 is on my wish list at the moment, but to be honest, the S3 is now my favourite. I take it everywhere!
man some of you guys have some nice stuff!
Buzzbait I like that orange military. How do you like the pacific salt? How does the edge hold up? I've heard guys say that the more it's used the better the edge retention? I almost picked one up but ended up getting a endura and a delica.
I played with one in store, thought to myself if I buy this I'll for sure nail myself hard. Decided to pass eventually.

Great selection of knives there mate :tu:I favor the ones with pocket clips. I have been thinking of selling off my Benchmades. I only have 3 of them and 2 are a bit large. I like my Spidercos the best. The one Buck I have owned since the 1970s.
Do you EDC any of them (I'm guessing the ones with the lanyards?)
I just got this in the mail today. More pix to follow later. :DLooks good GG...and it looks left hand friendly.

Oh, that's not me at all. It does look like it's built like a tank though, in fact it rather looks like it was build from a tank. :o Glad you like it though mate. :)
That is actually one of the most awsome blade I have ever seen. You going to carry it?

I wanted to, but its too damn big! :ahhh I'll have to take some side by side shots of this knife so everyone can get an idea of how massive it is.

Wow! I really like those! Nice flat ground blade and I love the rustic end! I wish they were available in Canada. The wooden handled unit is especially nice.Marc at https://edcdepot.com/merchantmanager/index.php?manufacturers_id=68 does ship internationally :)

ringzero,
nice trio of knives there. with that blade shape on the crkt knife do you ever find the flipper in the opened position as pic'd ever gets in the way?
cheers,
sean
ringzero,
I haven't carried or used the Tuition.....it's a great design and I love the blade. It's just too damn small for me. They need to make this knife exactly as it is just bigger, about a 4 1/2" handle on it with a appropriately equal blade and it would be a superb EDC piece. As it is now I just have it for the collection.
Now the "Needs Work" is a good design as well. When I first got it I used it a bit but haven't carried it. I don't like A/O's as carry knives. The handle is positioned in such a way when the blade is opened that you get a real good angle......it's a excellent Utility knife. Takes a little getting used to as most knives position your hand in-line with the blade, this one angles but it works real well. A great slicer and excellent push cutter.

Very easy. Just take off the front scale and take out the spring.

But it's only a friction folder. I'd happily carry it as legally there is no argument with those. If it's not to be carried then there seems little point in having it as a friction folder and you may just as well get a locker (IMO).

I disagree (the agreement on knives lasted long Mike! :D). There is no way on earth anyone would regard that as a locker as it doesn't lock in any way possible. I could see a knife novice thinking a slippy was a locker as they kinda snap open, but a friction folder has none of that and even the greenest of coppers would see that.

thanks for those! It kind of reminds me of the Kershaw Lahar except for the blade shape is a bit different. That is one big beauty though.

I used it occasionally, but generally went with something else for some reason. I never really gave it a proper test until now.

What's the steel?
jzmtl,
Nice folders ain't they? I got the 420HC/FRN version............
........solid knife. My only complaint is the position of the pocketclip. Quality Buck build on these.

I wouldn't sweat the synthetic bushings, my EDC locking folder (CRKT M16-04) has synth bushings and they're still going strong after over a decade of carry and thounsands of open and close actions on them. Not quite as smooth as phosphorous/bronze.....but they work well enough.
Didn't notice the stamped out detent though, but for a $19.99 knife (mine) I can live with it.

It's not that they don't last, but rather they compress, so the pressure from liner lock cause it hard to center the blade without tighten down the pivot. I had a flipper kershaw that has PB washer and I can get it to almost center and still flip out easily. But on the vantage the blade need to almost touch one liner in order for the flipper to work well.
Got a new folder today...Now that's proper folder :tu: :D
(http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn153/NKB_Pocket_Tools/laplander-1.jpg)
What do you mean "Wrong thread" ??? Folds doesn't it :P
I've noticed some compression on certain folders I have with synth bushings, but none of the issues you have just explained. My only complaint is with companies that decide to use synth bushings, but use ones that are overly thick and small in diameter. These allow too much "play" at the pivot.

one thrown in for the hell of it of my current collection that with a bit of luck will change a bit tonite. will post the new arrivals later.
My first buck knife, and it's my first wood handled folder too! Blade is hollow grind start from almost top, definitely more of a gentleman's folder, not a hard use knife.
Thanks! I love that blade shape a lot too, it's more um, traditional, than my other knives. The high hollow grind is extremely thin, near the edge is only 0.017" thick. There are a few minus points, but after I tuned it the action is very smooth.
Yeah I think it's all made in u.s., that's one of the selling point of it.
Just thought I'd take some pics of my recently cleaned, oiled and fitted with a new pocket clip, Sebenza. Has quite a few character marks in the right light.

I think I might grab a Lansky sharpening system next purchase so I can try and re profile my pacific salt. Cannot sharpen it the way it comes from the factory with the sharpmaker. Hope you make out ok with your Altlantic which I'm sure you will.
Where did you get it? Mind me asking what it set you back?
thanks.
jzmtl,
do you buy chance happen to have a paramilitary?
ok thanks just curious. been thinking I might get the d2 from w/w. seems like a pretty good price on a spydie discontinued knife compared to what they want for the s30v versions.
apparently on some of the pacific's the blade is profiled a bit differently near the handle than near the tip. So in my case I have one of those knives that half way up sharpens nicely but the other half will have to be re profiled so it will take an edge. the guys on the spydie forums were letting me know about it. even one of them offered to ship it to him and he would do the job for me which was really nice. I can get a lansky here for a pretty good price so I think I just might for special occasions when a blade needs something like this.
Didn't get chance to do my own pics this evening (will do soon) but here is my latest;

Despite it's quite frankly ludicrous design, I'd still love to have one. :D
To be honest, we were playing with it at the meet, and Nick and I think that it probably has the safest lock-up going.Kershaw does have good quality blades. I was thinking more along the lines of getting your finger in the way closing it with the toggle. What the h**l does uber mean?
If you are exerting downward force on the blade, you are actually strengthening the locking mechanism.
Plus, it is uber cool and fun to play with, especially watching people who haven't used it before :D
It's damn good quality too of course.
Uber is German for "over" but young folk (like Ben) use it in place of "super" :DOk then, I learn new Brit slang everyday on here. Just one other question, do Brits still call a car hood a bonnet?
No. You call a bonnet a hood ;)
We do yes. :tu:I was wondering, the first time I heard that it threw me for a loop. I pulled into a small gas station one time and this older gentleman came out and said unlatch the bonnet and I will have a look see. I didnt know he wanted to check the oil!
Bonnet = HoodYes he explained this to me but he called the trunk a turtle shell or hull ?
Boot = Trunk
Never really understood why that is tbh.

Never heard that one! This was in England?
I've heard the old timers call the trunk a turtle hull.I cant answer that I dont even own a pair of gloves!
Why do we still call the glovebox a glovebox,I don't keep gloves in there.
Had to sell a couple of knives for this, but it was worth it. Just wish the handle is more blue.

thanks! been waiting to go into our local keymart and pick up something in Alox. This one will stay mine regardlessBest nip back to the store for the Farmer then :pok: :pok: :D
of who takes a liking to it. ;)
I see they had the solo and pioneer, farmer as well in there.
Nice group there prime! ;)Thanks Sean. You know when I first starting getting into knives and looking at different makers. I always thought that Spydercos were a little strange looking. It's not until I handled some that I truly started to appreciate them as awesome knives.

This didn't work out as well as I thought it would but I think it's still pretty sweet.Very nice.. 8) And great blog too.. :tu:
Some collection there Spoon! Very nice! ;)You're gonna love it, and the 154CM is easy to sharpen on some ceramic rods, and holds a very scary edge.
I just picked this one from Warriors today. My first Bench!
I think so. They can be had fairly cheaply, but not $8 cheaply. It won't be legal for EDC, but no problem with owning it.. :)
Do bear in mind that it has a 3.5" blade. Not sure if that effects legality or anything with you.
Not mine yet, but I'm watching the auction... Current bid 8$..For that price I'd nab one :tu:
You guys think it's worth bidding on..?

Go cheapie and get an Opinel instead :P
Sharpest edge I ever got was on an opi. Scared me a bit :o :ahhh
Nice bunch of Spyderco`s Zack. How you like that Rookie. I keep thinking I need to get one of those.
That is a very nice assortment of Spydie's. It's good to have size variety. Like those Crickets. :)
Good to hear that, I just ordered a serrated Cricket to support my plain Dodo on "box opening duty".
It is on fingers too I closed my other one on my finger by accident before, cut it all the way to the bone :oGood to hear that, I just ordered a serrated Cricket to support my plain Dodo on "box opening duty".
Its a beast on boxes.
Sharpest edge I ever got was on an opi. Scared me a bit :o :ahhhyes sir, mine are scary sharp, very durable knives too, just dont get them very wet, mine wont open when wet.

A ton of trading huh? If the Sebenza has gone as well we will need to have words. :D
My new favourite knife courtesy of Gadget Guy

They look great Dave :tu:
I like the idea of the ones with the bit driver in but then you might as well throw in the pliers and carry a Skeletool!
that is nice, I'm sure it will make you a nice slicer. I like the look of the titanium version as well.Sean don't remind me. I have been thinking about it all day. I so want it.
I had to wonder if the sage is meant to replace caly 3, given the rumor of caly 3 being discontinued.I'm not to sure. The Sage models are in recognition of different knifemaker's contribution to the knife industry. The Sage 1 is in recognition of knifemaker Michael Walker for his creation of the LinerLock and ball bearing detent method of locking. The Sage 2 is a tribute to Chris Reeve and features a integral lock.
After years of lusting, my grail knife. :)She is a beauty jzmtl. How so you like the CF. Does it have a nice texture to it.

Although they aren't cheap cheap, they do offer great bang for the buck.
It sits above.
I have managed to put a small groove in the zytel from playing ninja a bit too vigorously though. :D
The lockbar is shaped so it just misses it. Only just though I expect.
Yay Mini Grip :)
Love the Minigrip. :tu: Heinnies stocks the full sized Grip now which is very tempting.

How's it working out for you, John?
Good looking knife and looks to be very decent for the money.
Lately I'm really liking my folders that have flippers.
Easy opening of course, but I also really like the added safety provided by a flipper to prevent injury if the lock should ever fail. Also should prevent running your fingers onto the edge during a hard stab.
.
Does anyone know of a folder similar/or equally tactical as Benner's, just without the thumb-stud..? ??? :)It certainly is one of the nicest looking production knives I have and one of the rare pieces I instantly fell for. I have a real soft spot for this knife. :Dhttp://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t41/benniehunts/IMG_2341.jpgDamn, I wish I could have one of these... >:( >:(

It works for me ;) I have filed the scales near the liner lock so I can use my thumb to open also :tu:
And if you look closely I filed the scales where there's jimping now it affords better grip IMO
But yeah the flipper is great if ever I need speed to open it lets hope I never have to :salute:
Why Allan cant you have knives that have them? if it is could you not get one with the thumb stud taken out assuming they're screwed on?Does anyone know of a folder similar/or equally tactical as Benner's, just without the thumb-stud..? ??? :)It certainly is one of the nicest looking production knives I have and one of the rare pieces I instantly fell for. He can't have one handers can he. And that includes modified ones.
AHB looked into that and apparently they aren't either as you can still OH them.
Nope, it just has to be sharp, useful, and in Denmark... ::) :D
AHB looked into that and apparently they aren't either as you can still OH them.
Whats the true definition of OHO then, as you can open nearly any blade one handed, albeit a tad difficult on some but its possible... does it have to be one swift movement to be classed as OHO?
Can't think of one AHB. :(Thanks for trying, though.. :tu:
I bought this today:
http://www.altrec.com/petzl/spatha-knife-small
It's a very simple non-locking knife. I wanted it for my pack and its only duty will be for cutting rope. :tu: I really like the simplicity of this one.

Those are pretty nice knives. I know several guys that have on clipped to their harnesses climbing at all times. They weigh so little, and cut pretty good. The OHO is kind of hard to do when you are new to the knife though, I thought. Hope you enjoy it
Those chizel Emerson's are beauts Unsub! Been looking at picking one of them up sometime.
Let me know if your ever in the market for a Mini-Horseman, maybe we can do a trade? :)
One of those Tanto's if you'd be willing to trade would be fine. Partially serrated or plain edge. :)
Hey is one of those CQC-7's a STR conversion with framelock?
Erm, pink Ian? :D
Pleased to hear it :DErm, pink Ian? :D

That edge looks amazing kwakster. Tell us more about your paper wheels.
The UKPK is an awesome little knife. I have the black G10 version and its my office edc knife...no real need for a locker when riding a desk. Also the wire clip blends into just about whatever you wear so no one notices you even have a knife on you.
I really want the Buck Vantage Avid... and the Pro, and the other two. :D
I just want all the Buck knives really. :pok:

Nice Super Commander GG. I remember when those grips first came out they cause quite a stir. I`ve had two of the original TAD Gear Super Commanders only have one now. I sold the satin finished one to my brother. What always impressed me about the Super over the regular Commander is that its blade length is only a 1/4 longer but its cutting power is substantially greater.
Very, very nice!
:tu:
I think I want a POB like yours :D
there just is something that is so nice, one side titanium frame lock, and the other g-10. man... :tu:

Yeah, it's turned into my new fav EDC knif for sure.
I love the look of it and the feels is great too! Never thought such a light knife could be such a hard little worker, but it's a beast!

Better made than the all plastic ones?
Good pic's of your knives fella's!
Jz, Where do you usually get your Boker's from? Ebay?
That is one thick beast. O_O
Now that's a knife (you have to imagine the Aussie accent)
Here is a little better look at the knife:I think I last heard that background music the night of my bachelor party.

Boker is on a roll! So many cool new designs this year, Ti subcom, Exskelibur, haddock, Rhino, Valkyrie etc...
Quality on the Exskelibur is impeccable, I'd put it right up there with my best finished spydercos three times the price, sure blow the "Chinese junk" stereotype right out of the water.
3.5" of 440C blade, single anodized Ti liner, matching anodized Ti clip, contoured G10 handle.

Ha, I was just looking at that knife the day before! That's bigger than I thought too.
I really like the knife in the top left as well. It is a Dealextreme special, essential a copy of Kershaw's E.T knife. It has had a few owners and now it is with me, I like it :tu: It's really sharp and its unique opening and closing make it a joy to have :D And yes it has drawn blood from me at the beginning :-[ I have forgiven it though, it was my fault for playing with it while on the phone; duh! It has really peaked my interest for the real thing, its sounds amazing :tu:
I can honestly tell you that there's no comparison between the Dealextreme thing and the Kershaw ;)oh no not that thing again! :D just kidding

Sorry for not replying sooner, I am on holiday, so I don't check the forums too often/well.
As Jekostas said, it is made/branded? by Navy and sold by Exduct.
I bought it to see what the pressure lock was.
Just like most of the newer Navy knives I have it feels quite well built, short and stubby but really solid. Feels like it would be usefull for cutting jobs requiring a lot of strength but not a long blade, like cutting thick rope.
Navy knives are not exactly cheap, compared to SRM knives but offer better steel. It looks quite "cool" but the pocket clip is really weird. I think I posted some pictures of it here but I do not remember where, or when. I have not used it to cut anything serious yet..

Its quite a pretty, smooth looking slipjoint. It was so nice, it was taken away from me :D ! I have now ordered the other two versions of it, but I believe the blue one would be the looker.

I've got a No6 in stainless and it still takes a very sharp edge, nothing to complain about at all IMO. :tu:

They're still looking very shiny though mate :pok: You not going for the patina?
there all still pretty new Al :D give it time, the #5 has a nice patina from strawberries the other day, plus the #6 has some nice marks, the flash makes these much shinyer than they are ;)
cheers tony, its all Al's fault ;) ive got a #8 in SS coming and then need a few more to fill in the gaps :D
Nice one on the SRMs dks :tu: Zed isn't the only one you got interested in these - I've now got all three winging (or limping) my way. Since I picked up the Byrd Wings I'm really getting into the OHO slippie thing, and I think all three of these including shipping cost less than what I paid for the Wings from a domestic supplier
I'd definitely speak to Boker about that spring failure though :salute:
 they are sweet dks :o now just need to make some money again :D :tu:Sell a bike :D??????

Ka-Bar Kharon Tanto
It's pretty green that's for sure. I like it though, they put some imagination into the line and
it's different. I think it should do well for them. At least it's not black G-10. If I see another
knife done that way... I'll puke. :D
I really did break the bank today and picked up a CS, Kudu as well.

Starting to agree about black G-10. :D
The Cold Steel Kudu, A.K.A. the Bank Breaker. ;)
That's quite a bit different from your normal offerings 2xTap. :)

I would suggest trying the paperstone versions too. Same (OK, similar) style, less weight, no metallic smell on hands

I would say that the AK47 has the most comfortable handle out of any folder I own. It just sinks into my hand perfectly, even with a reverse grip!

Good to hear. I think I might pick one up when they arrive in store
I've been carrying this around the last few days.

Looks like a Laguiole, so France.

that could very well be the case, however there are a number of knives of this style coming
from Asia and it has the look that perhaps it's not from France. :)
It must be french as has a corkscrew ::)
Dare I say that the Grohmann looks better as I folder than as a fixed blade? Any chance of a pic of it closed? Cheers mate.

A quick recap of what I said in the Opinel thread about this.   :D
From today:
CRKT Drifter, screams SRM to me, good finish, described as having premium steel, bought for less than SRM money, looks sexy. New but has advertising on it
It is made by SRM.
It is made by SRM.
I was pretty sure about that, but could not find the equivalent SRM model on Exduct, so I did not say it was an SRM 100%. The steel, on the CRKT site is given as 8Cr14MoV, though the leaflet that came with the knife called it just "premium steel".
It does feel a "click" better in quality than the SRM knives I have (which are fine), possibly because of what was requested by CRKT.
Gareth, these are designed to be given as advertising gifts, according to the CRKT site:
http://www.crkt.com/Drifter (http://www.crkt.com/Drifter)
Well done to the companies that give these as a Gift!

The model is the 707. The specifications are different by about .5mm in a few places (blade length, overall length), but the pivot is the same, the screws are the same, the thumbstud is the same, the jimping is the same, the liners are the same etc. My best guess is that the Drifter is a CRKT design, but SanRenMu modified it slightly to sell it for the Chinese market to differentiate it slightly.
The differences would likely be slightly better (and harder) steel on the Drifter, as well as the warranty. Lifetime from CRKT compared to 3 months from SanRenMu is a pretty big difference.

The long awaited Spyderco manix with FRCP handle is finally out.
I like it, and the clear one as well when it finally arrives. I wonder though how it's going
to fair when the pivot is lubed with oil and stuff gets inside it how will it look?
Yeah that sure is nice! Is it Rosewood or Walnut?
Coast. 440C, Chinese made and decent (I wouldn't say spectacular) F+F, but I got it for $0.96 on clearance. Just about the only "gentleman's" folder that I've got.
...Couldn't agree more. How bad a knife could it really be? @ $0.96, when it gets dull throw it in the camping butterknife box.
Hey looks good for $0.96. I would buy about 10 at that price. :tu:
I like that Emerson SARK. I've been tempted to grab it's cousin the Police model. :tu:The police model is pretty nice.

Oddly enough, it actually takes and keeps a pretty reasonable edge. The very narrow blade keeps it from being a daily-use slicer but it's not bad at all.
In general, how is the quality on Coast knives?

These arrived today.

Can you wave the SRM?
I guess Enlan is an OEM for Gerber. If that were true it would probably increase my respect for the latter.
Love this shot mate.
:tu:
Hmmm, I'd be inclined to totally drop the handle and cord-wrap the tang to make it a small fixed blade of sorts... Heck, it would even have a hole (pivot) to pass the cord through to stabilize the wrap! Any beater Svord owners willing to part with one of theirs?
Can't wait for this one to come from modding....
Used to be Sodbuster CV blade yellow delrin - now is Sodbuster CV Blade with forced patina, Brass pins and bolsters and Bubinga tree scales....

I picked these up at a carboot sale on Sunday ::)
A nice 3 bladed knife with 'Silver Steel' and a little oval shape on the tang but I don't thinks its Taylor eye
A nice pipe smokers knife in good condition made by Richards in Sheffield
An old pruning knife, marked 'Forged steel Foreign made'
which I think means 'made in Germany after the war'
All the blades have been broken on this one :o and the largest re-profiled as a wire stripper, the plastic 'jigged bone' looks like it has melted at the edges, Please don't ask me why I bought it
It might say
Imperial
PAT NOs 2170537 2281782
A really nice knife made by William Rodgers, Sheffield
Horn scales, brass liners and 'I CUT MY WAY' stamped on the tang :)
as you can see its been looked after and sharpened a million times
Apart from the pipe smokers knife all the above blades have been sharpened until there's not much steel left, most are not ideal for pocket carry :) :-\ :(

at least they were all closed, right? :D
you lucky dude! I wouldn't want to carry them in my pockets too. I will just put them on my shelf and adore them as they bask in their rustic, old time glory while sipping my coffee.
Will it be pocket carried? :D
I have too many folding knives to count. :DI have a different problem...
My latest, Spyderco Sage 1.

Whats the difference between the Cadet and Stockman?
Whats the difference between the Cadet and Stockman?
In terms of a 303 Cadet vs. 303 Stockman? Absolutely nothing. Buck calls the 303 the Cadet, but it's a Stockman pattern, three blades. The same basic knife but made in China for Buck is known as the 373 Trio and is a nice little knife in its own right. The 301/371 Stockman is a considerably larger knife.
So they can double the sales. Folks would buy "both" knives because "if they have different names they must be different knives!"...Whats the difference between the Cadet and Stockman?

That sure is one gorgeous knife Dmanuel.Very nice collection, Aloha! I have a very small folder collection (not counting vic/wenger) compared to yours...
Here is my growing group of knives including my cheap Laguiole and my Emerson Mini Commander. I only bought a few new the others I was given or bought previously owned. I haven't got into the world of expensive knives but I've had my eye on a Le Thier for a while and of course a Laguiole. I tend to carry my Leek or Opinel mostly when I do carry a knife. I find that my SAK covers me very well and usually bring a knife just because but seldom use it.

Well get to it then! :pok: They're common enough, you can find them at Dick's Sporting Goods, Walmart, bunch of other places.
I really love my Buck 110. Never really gets any use if I'm honest, but I'd not get rid of it.
My first folding knife, ever.

Nice :tu:. I preferred G10 and drop point so I got the 531.

Here is my Super Blue Delica and Stretch.
I just got the Stretch in the post and the Delica I have had for a few months.
I really like this steel a lot, it is easy to touch up and takes a great edge.
Once I flip the clip on the Stretch it will be ready to carry.
I do like the Endura too but for whatever reason I have been carrying the Delica more often.(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/30/era8ysa9.jpg)

Nice. I like the looks of the Stretch, gonna have to look into one of those. My normal large Spyderco to carry is the Endura, but there's always room for another one..... :) Also nice to see a pic of a lefty-clipped Spydie that's not one of mine. A rather rare breed here...... ;)
Very nice! I'm a Spyderco hound and really only carry Spydercos. I'm sure you understand why now. :DCan I ever! This thing just oozes quality! I was a little worried about cutting myself closing it where it's sooooo smooth, but it only goes so far, and rest against your thumb! :tu: LOVE IT!!!
I do the same with the ones with a back lock. I hold it almost like I would for use, but depress the lock and fling it forward. It looks like its going to close on my pointer finger, but always gets stopped by that curved section under the blade. Be careful though as i'm not sure if you remember, but I got bit pretty bad from my Pacific Salt. Still have a huge scar and finally got feeling back in my finger after a year or so. :ahhh Ill try and dig up a picture to warn you. :DOhhh believe me, I remember that!! :ahhh :D

Yes. I think its there instead of a nail nick so you can open it two handed with gloves on.

Are those pipe tools marked "Richards" or "Rodgers", guys? Rodgers I see all the time, and have owned several. Never seen a Richards. My current pipe knife/tool is a Kershaw. :) Go figure.......

My Ganzo Stockman, posing with my Buck 373
How do you like the Ganzo? It is one of those knives that I would have gotten, had it been cheaper. Is it as good as the Buck (US or Chinese made ones?)
Well, I can't lurk through so much of this thread, without posting a pic myself, even though my "collection" is gonna look like a drop in the sea, compared to some of those I've seen here...
The small one, is being carried everyday, together with the ID-card it's hooked to - it's inconspicious, easy access, with a little training it can be opened one-handed and it's a helluva lot better at opening boxes and plastic packing than cheap utility blades.
The "big one" (blade is only 7 cm/2,7 inches) always follows me to work in my backpack, but only get time in my pocket when I know I'm going to need a reliable blade, that can take a beating and won't close on me.
And don't even begin to ask what makes they are; can't even remember where I got the small one and the "big one" is from a sporting-store, bought for about 175 dkk/32 usd. Nonetheless, the only thing about the knife that ever failed me, is the rubber pads on the side, that needs to be glued back in, from time to time.
EDIT: Sized the picture down, so it's actually viewable. :)
All three blades have different profiles to the Buck. I have photos, but I'm planning to do a mini review on the Ganzo
I like the look of that one a lot mate, very clean. :)

It does lock, actually, it's a back lock, with the "button" all the way at the back (where you can see the spring sticking out). Most of Fontenille Pataud's knives lock, except the real original ones. They even have a one-hand-open Laguiole knives, like this:
(not my picture)
Also, yeah, they're quite expensive, but not (much) more than a Benchmade, for example, certainly here in Europe.

Fellow Nuts!
I obtained this nice looking folder which I know nothing about except taht there is LSZ and Rostfrei as a tang stamp.
Scales are wood, I think and the tool loadout is like the classic officers knife.
I put a Spartan in the pics for size reference.

Back tools are a little stubborn and are soaking in oil. The Bail is loose on one side. Shall I loose it completely or try to reaffix it?

After years of not having a pocket clip for this knife I finally ordered one. I wanted the older squared style, but was told they did not carry those anymore. To my surprise when it arrived it was the squared version. I also ordered the stainless version which is for the rescue knives, but I like how it looks on the Delica.Cap'n, if you don't mind me saying, you have the best collection of knives I've seen on this forum :salute:

I was slightly surprised by how small it is - about the same length as a Pioneer, but with a deeper blade.
(https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8697/16527143554_2ef8334ba5_z.jpg) (https://flic.kr/p/rbrVYW)
Seems very nicely finished - the blade is well centred and very sharp with an OK grind (not identical both sides but not far off), opens smoothly and is getting better with use, though I need to practice opening with just my thumb. Locks up tight but easy to release.
Yep. If I was feeling charitable, I'd say it was an homage to the Sebenza. ;)

Got a Svord Mini Peasant in radioactive green yesterday. The handle was a bit rough and ready and the blade had an uneven edge but a quick scrape with a file and 20 minutes with a Lansky sorted that out, mostly. It's a bit long when folded but I'll stick it in my pocket for a few days and see if I get on with it.

I know they're not all as nice as the BG knives, but cut them some slack! Once day Spyderco will be up to their quality. :dd:Whats the deal with that Spyderco blade? I mean they did that on purpose, right? But what is the purpose?

From what I've read, it was to cut down on weight. I don't think it would really save all that much though. It actually does held when cutting heavy cardboard though. It allows the blade to slide through easier. :tu:I know they're not all as nice as the BG knives, but cut them some slack! Wow!!! What a find!! Congrats!! That is a really beautiful Trapper! SS or carbon?
Why do I find stag and bone handles so appealing?
My second stag GEC 23 (bottom) arrived today. Love these!!!
The gnarley stag one (top) will probably go back into the tube and into the collection while the new (serial #7) one will get put into my EDC bag.

Those are some sweet knives SG! nNice stag on them also. :) the Winchester 5 bladed sow belly stockman still looks cool. :)
it is becoming very hard not to buy one, though i have no real use for it.....
i do have a few Kudu - surprisingly light for its size. not the easiest to get sharp
Did you pick up that ontario emergency tool from the booty tony
i like the 2nd one, the stag handled one - real stag or bone/plastic?
looks german..
Picked up a few this morning
The top one is a lovely old George Wostenholm

Yes Mate :salute:
As I posted in the carboot thread its an Ontario Knife Company ASEK belt cutter (missing its original sheath)
I was very suprised to find it this morning :o and the green sheath came with it, nice sheath but a really bad fit for the ASEK
Got a small Browning Pursuit with Burl Wood bolsters. Had the same model with Sheep Horn bolsters but didn't like them. Very rough and with deep grooves in the center, extremely smooth and polished in the edges. If the finish were more similar all over, I'd gotten it.
http://www.browning.com/products/catalog/knives/detail.asp?fid=112G&cid=322&tid=835
Very light, opening and closing is very smooth, great backlock, very sharp. Is part of my EDC for 2 days, since I got it.

I haven't cleaned or had a good look at any of them yet

and think I can read 'inox' on the tang so German is a good guess so far :tu:

I like that Stars and Stripes one :tu:
Another nice Stockman! It has match striker pulls which is always a plus with me.
No further justifications......but a side note:
It seems Enlan knives we have access to in southern africa are slightly different.
It's all very confusing, some knives are identical to the international models, some slightly different.
Here's the Enlan BatHawk, Goshawk and Harrier. More pics later

Nope, that's the Bat-hawk (a.k.a Enlan EL02).......the first one I got for obvious reason, and funny enough the only one with a small issue.
The Harrier (aka enlan el04) is left 1st pic and bottom 2nd pic - pick of the bunch, think spotless Tenacious with an axis-lock 8)
I will probably grab the Griffon next. Interesting in China they say it comes in 9CR that has a slight increase in edge retention over 8CR. But ours are printed 8.
I wonder if it's 240 per model or 240 in total?
My Kestrel is 148; Harrier is 46

Actually, Case quality is not always that brilliant, even with their regular products. BF has various threads about issues with Case products. You do pay for the made in USA mark too.

I have a question, and depending on the answer this will be a review as well :D
The middle knife, the Goshawk with it's wave opener and (very) nice handle scales suffers from what I believe is called lockbar over travel.....?
The liner lock bar basically gets stuck between the tang and the opposite liner.
What I can't figure out is it happens when you open the knife slowly.....throw open the big blade with the thumb stud and the lock-up is good.
Question - will tightening the pivot help for that?(http://i57.tinypic.com/2la7vbb.jpg)

It can if the pivot is loose. But it also depends if the locking bar is short or how the tang is ground. If you could take a pic of it I could tell more. It is also possible the blade stop was ground a little small. Sometimes tightening up the handle screws along with the pivot helps. Lots of possibilities.
Good close ups SG. Its all your fault now :pok: as I'm off to the bay to look at Whalers. :D The 1/2 Jack is a real looker. I just gave my brother the full size Case Jack with yellow handles. :)

I tossed in yet another in the mix:
Looking good Zoidie :tu: I do like what you've done at the choil BTW
The handle has got a kind of organic shop worn look, like it's worn into that shape from extended use. Reminds me of the pics you see of old craftsman's hammers that have been used day in day out and have taken on the hand shape of their owner

I have to admit that your comment went over my head.
According to my wife that's nothing new.LOL.
The standard buck 110 has a lot of brass parts on the handle, which means that every time you use it your hands get a strong metallic smell. Other metals do not do that so easily, so based on your picture I expect that the custom model will not have this problem.I've never experienced that, then again I don't exactly have a bloodhound nose.

I've never been aware of such a phenomenon.Perhaps it could be your own biochemistry that creates such a reaction.
In any event,I protect all of my knives with a good coat of wax. This slows down the abrasion that naturally occurs while inserting or withdrawing the knife from your pocket or sheath.

Why borrow ideas from 1 company, when you can borrow from 3
But, the end result is good looking and works.
That Ganzo is interesting.... Spydie Blade / Rat one handle with an axis lock .
Looks pretty close to the Rat 1 to me but perhaps they copied the PM2. What came out first the Rat I or the PM2 ?
A Spyderco PM2 in Axis lock format.
Could actually be a great knife but I would not touch it out of loyalty
My personal ethics scale, on wrong, has to do with murdering lots of innocent people, so as to take their land or their oil/resources, using them as slaves, forcing nations to accept what the stronger nation wants, instigating wars for personal or national gain, supplying arms to factions and then pretending you do no know how they got there, manipulating world organisations so as to support you by using your power rather than what is right, stealing from nations and bragging about it, coming to different decisions on similar matters, depending on whom you are judging, expecting all nations and people to agree with your point or view and your actions and being shocked when they do not, forcing you to make them agree, turning a blind eye to environmental destruction or claiming that there is one when there isn't, assuming that your nation's law and ethics are universal, world domination and so on....
Others do not have to feel the same :D :D :D :D
It does look like 3 other knives but it does not claim to be any of them, so as to fool me.
Lets not forget that Buck 110, Schrade LB7, Case xx 00177 coexist, as they are made by major companies of the same country.

PS: dks the Buck 110 comparison is uncanny...
That said, I'm not a Ganzo fan (do prefer Sanrenmus and Tekut) and I'd buy a real Spydie instead (a Tenacious or a Byrd should cost close to a Ganzo) but it really doesn't bother me one bit.
Looks pretty close to the Rat 1 to me but perhaps they copied the PM2. What came out first the Rat I or the PM2 ?
Don't know which one came out first.
If you look at the Rat it is much more round on the corners. Especially where the tang is. No finger choil like the PM2. Lanyard hole and sharper edges on the back match the PM2 as well. Same screw placement as the PM2.
I'm not trying to be "that guy", but just things I noticed.

This is a little bit Manix, a little bit Ritter Grip.
ps, GG, a locol online store is selling RAT 1 & 2 these days,

Masters of Defense "Trident" designed by Chief Jim Watson, veteran Navy Seal, who had 16 combat decorations, including 4 bronze stars with the Combat V for valor. Most people know him as Dick Marcinko's point man Patches in the Rogue Warrior series. Watson, a Team 2 plank owner, has authored two books on his days as a SEAL, Point Man and Walking Point, both published by William Morrow. When Jim ray wanted a hard-use knife that would meet the needs of these spec op's warriors,Jim Watson was a natural choice. Most of the so called SEAL knives out there today never had the input of a SEAL in their construction and wouldn't hold up if a special forces operator actually had to use one. Jim Watson designed this knife as a user who has actually been there and done it.

Anodized aluminum handled Leek w/ liner lock
The blade and clip was switched over from the all black, frame lock model ( 1660 CKT)
The final product weighs 2.4 oz instead of the 3.0 oz 1660 CKT

...was this, CRKT Folding Razel:

It has nice sturdy blade:

Quite good sized folder (Blade 8.5cm and overall length 20cm):

I got this 2 opinel style knives.
Italian Old Bear, has locking system similar to the opinel, but, instead of the whole collar moving you just move a lever, locks open or closed, about 20Euro
and,
French Nontron 12 knife, has a collar like the opinel but only locks open, not closed, about 60+ Euro (cheaper, by alot, online), makes the opinel look like a bargain, but they are supposed to be hand made
shown with an opinel No9

Some very nice knives Ray
Thought I'd throw in something a little different:some really large folders. Most of these are old and some are new. The background for all the knives is a grid of 1"(25.4mm)squares to get an idea of the sizes.
First up is an old navaja style knife I acquired from a friend whose dad was an antiques dealer. It is made of cast metal(not sharp)and I'm a bit unclear as to what it's original purpose was.Makes an interesting display though.
Next is a couple of large stiletto type knives(non-automatic).One has a spear point blade and the other more modern one a clip point. The first has horn handles while the second is plastic.
Last is a large 3 blade folder(outboard two blades lock open)made in China fairly recently I would guess. I bought it at a pawn shop for $6 only because the size was so outrageous.

Definitely looks like it;but I think there is a bit of a size difference. The knife I posted is about 8 inches long closed.
That Lakota is really nice;and rare too. I haven't seen one of those for about 30 years. They weren't very popular when first introduced because they were kind of "out there' looking;which is why I liked them.

Well, I found it, yesterday. Everything is the same, apart from the lack of number below the cat. My favorite "Sunday" knife: A liner lock custom by Jason Williams of Wyoming Rhode Island. This was Jason's 14th knife and made when he was just 19 years old. I bought it about 30 years ago and have treasured it ever since. Jason now specializes in high end automatic knives and is credited with designing the Axis Lock. Both he and his stepfather Bill McHenry are still very active in knifemaking.
Beautiful knife Ray! :like:
Hi Ray
Another mouth-watering selection from your........"accumulation" :tu:
Looking at your military knives in the other thread I felt a bit sickened by my own collection - might be good knives but I don't use them, and never in a 100 years will they have the historic and/or artistic value of most in your collection. :salute:

To me a knife doesn't have to be valuable(although if it is all the better)but rather be unique in some respect.I enjoy knives that don't appear to be knives;miniature knives;old knives;etcetera. What I really enjoy is if a knife has a story behind it.I look at a knife that is over a hundred years old and imagine what this knife has experienced and what stories it could relate.
Probably my favorite knife in that respect is a Persian jambiya that was given to me by a good friend(who has since passed)that was found to be over 350 years old! How did that one ever survive and what stories could it tell? The mind boggles at the thought!.
Anyway I am glad you are enjoying the posts my friend.

Again many thanks for the kind words Gerhard. I would say that you should be proud of your collection as they are a part of who you are. I have been accumulating knives for over 60 years now so I probably have a bit of a head start on you. When I started my first knife(which I still have)was a hunting knife that I bought (with my grandfather's permission of course)for the sum of 98 cents.I really had no use for a hunting knife but wanted one anyway which is probably why it survived in such great condition.
Later on I got my first automatic knife(they were still legal in the USA at the time)and that started me on those. I didn't need one but I liked them. Then came stag handled knives and then pearls and it just kind of snowballed from there.
Today as I approach my 73rd birthday I have more or less stopped accumulating knives and am having thoughts of dispensing with a lot of them. Money is usually reserved for more important things like eating and keeping a roof over our heads(lol) and I really don't need a roomful of knives. I still enjoy researching them and likely always will. Nice assemblage Peacent! What is the case made of? If it is a thermoplastic I would keep an eye on it to make sure that it doesn't react unfavorably with some of the knife handles.Thermoplastics when new have a tendency to out-gas;especially in the presence of sunlight and heat and will give off solvents that sometimes are harmful to knife handles and occasionally steel. What kind of batteries does it take, I just replaced mine on a smaller version and bought a large pack, if there the same I will send you a set.
I prefer to keep all of my knives in wooden boxes(old machinists' tool boxes mostly)that have cloth liners in the slots and a dessicant bag or two to dispel moisture.
That said here are my three latest acquisitions:
A Buck Whittaker 777T that features a built-in flashlight(that needs batteries which will probably cost more than I paid for the knife).
A Bushmaster 5971S that I bought because I don't have any knives of that particular make.
A Guidesman 23 in 1 multi-tool new in package.I already have one but they seem to be very well made for Pacific Rim knives and the price was right.
Paid $5 each for the three knives.
Most of my non-SAK folders...Nice!

Good thing that Spyderco is yellow, the way you keep dropping it in the leaves like that. Otherwise, you might lose it.
Is that what happened to the Opinel from yesterday? Now it's lost in the leaves?

The Victorinox Hunter Pro and the Spyderco Centofante have other things in common. I removed the Centofante´s clip; it´s a very slim, lightweight, pocketable knife.
The C3 and C4 are incredible Spydercos, most collectors agree in that they've been much overlooked among other Spydies. :o They have one of the most useful blade shapes, lighter weight and thinner profile, and the thickness of their blades is absolutely slicey and small compared to most other OHO folders, even among the Spyderco models themselves :tu:

How about a couple of Remington Italian made Rescue folders?
One is blade only with pocket clip and the other has an extra layer with spring loaded/locking strap cutter. These knives are insanely sharp. Sharpest serrations I've ever encountered. :ahhh
Thank you, Ray! :cheers::cheers:

Digging in an old chest that’s not been opened for a few decades, found this old, well-used no-name slippy. Needed some TLC, front pivot had opened up because the wood had shrunken so needed peening. After polish, sharpen and oil, all good again. :cheers:That's a lovely looking folder :like:
