How are the arc mini lights? I always wanted one, just never really found one. How are the compared to a maglite solitare?

The newer ones are MUCH brighter than a Solitaire. The ARC AAA-P is probably the most durable, dependable light made. The only AAA light that compares is a Peak LED Solutions Matterhorn.
There are two new models, the ARC AAA-P DS and the ARC AAA-P Snow. The DS is the brightest AAA-P to date at 9 lumens, and the Snow, at 7 lumens, has the best tint of any AAA-P (more white, less blue).
I just ordered a Snow version and I plan to carry it on my person at all times. I'll try to give a brief review of it here when I receive it.
The CS and DS can be ordered here: http://www.arcflashlight.com/arc-aaa.shtml
The Snow model is available here for a limited time: http://www.arcflashlight.com/accessories.shtml

Here's something interesting for you. This video demonstrates the efficiency of an ARC AAA-P versus the Mag Solitaire.

Those Solitaires might have been the best thing going when they came out, but the same could probalby be said for the Horse and Buggy!

I love my ARC AAA-P that I bought a year ago. It's not a 6-cell Streamlight, but I know that and don't expect that performance. It resides on my keychain and has never let me down. Highly, highly recommended.
