Title: SAK's and Star Wars
Post by: magentus on December 24, 2018, 05:37:28 PM
Here's Obi Wan and his band 'The Clonly One's' singing 'Another Girl, Another Planet' to R2 and the SwissClump at the Tatooine Cantina. Obi Wan Two Three Four!

Please add your Star Wars and SAK's as you see fit.

Japan has an entire series of Star Wars SAKs

Right now I'm waiting on the first SAK with a lightsaber blade.
Would be great for cutting/toasting bread. Just like this one in HHGG:

This is probably hard to understand if you're not Dutch. This box is a "Sinterklaassurprise" ("Saint Nicholas Surprise") a friend made for me. It's a joke related to those fake Made in China toys. The actual gift was a Chewy mask. The one you may know from that Youtube video of a woman wearing one :)

That's a very cool gift! And a vey good effort on the surprise! You're very lucky!

I have to shamefully admit that I just went around the house to make some Star Wars 'n SAK shots and I have nothing... NOTHING StarWars related in the house!
I can't believe it, I'm a huge fan and I have nothing!
Even the popcorn bucket I got at The Last Jedi is gone. I wonder what happened to it.  :o

I've got loads of figures and other stuff back at my parents house.  Doesn't do me any good now  :(

Thanks! And yes, that guy really put some effort in it. He's a big Star Wars fan but also a product designer and a professional drawer.
My wife and I felt bad because the surprises we made looked like the products of kindergarten kids.

On a side note, it's been since the early 2000s since I last bought a Star Wars figure. How is it that we still have such limited movement in them 18 years later? When I was a kid I had GIJoes with movable elbows and knees. This looks silly!

Cool figure Mac - Not sure why it isn't very flexible - the ones I got recently have articulated joints in all the right places...... Ankles, knees, hips, torso, wrists, elbows, shoulders and neck. I remember the very first figures had hip and shoulders only!!

I think it’s because of the population keeps growing and they really don’t have to change. There’s is a history of building your world as you see it. It gives the kids a chance to build and then explore it. The biggest win is the kids are using their imagination and I think it go’s beyond kids, and thats a good thing!

The Imperial Ground Officer got assistance from a KX-series Security droid as the collection is growing and growing.
Both of them are tasked to make inventory of missing equipment and defective, like drivers, micro screwdrivers, pens, tweezers and toothpicks.
Administration will take note of this and order what is needed.

I loved K-2SO in Rogue Squadron. To bad this movie was a one-off and needed to finish off it's characters at the end.
It needed too, but still. I really liked Jyn, Galen and K-2SO was very fun to watch.

No, they didn't have to. And I'd love to have seen more of them.
But it was the easy way out and it explains why they didn't appear in other storylines with one big blast.  :o
Talking about a big blast, everybody is talking about the bad-ass performance of Vader at the end. But the Death Star shot at Jedha was breathtaking.
This reminds me I really have to see Rogue One again. Maybe I'll pick up the DVD after work. :D

We're completely derailing this thread, but have fun with Solo!

Like Rogue One Solo get's a bit of bad rep. But it's a very fun movie.
The actor playing Han is very well cast and Chewie is magnificent.

Sadly neither of them are on Netflix Netherlands. So I'll have to hunt for a copy on BluRay or DVD.

I'll add a Star Wars Classic SD for good measure. Why does Japan get all the cool SAKs

Thanks.
Next trip to town I will try and get three more.
Found a place with a bucket of series 18 packets for a couple bucks cheaper than usual.
Would really like to find the dragon suit guy.
And then maybe birthday party boy or cowboy costume guy or firework guy.

I found a packet that had an Elsa (the skirt brick is hard to hide) but my sister said no.

Um, well it's considered a delicacy round our way - the chewier the better.  Just close your eyes as you chew and try not to wonder what it is you're chewing.
