Title: Adapting large LM sheaths to fit smaller MTs
Post by: Dutch_Tooler on September 14, 2018, 09:28:55 AM
See the full story here (https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,78366.msg1771388.html#msg1771388) on how I adapted a Leatherman "large premium leather" sheath built for Surges and ST300s to smaller LM tools such as a modded Wave plus bit card.

You could drop a small container such as a film canister, pill bottle, or small altoids tin filled with a fire starting kit or whatever you want to carry in it into the bottom of the sheath.  It would take up the space that is not needed for a shorter tool and keep the shorter tool accessible near the top of the sheath.

True Alan, valid point :tu:

What I was looking for was less overall bulk, also in view of possible horizontal carry. I tend to keep my multitools (which I rotate) separate from other emergency kit anyway.

That would awlso give you the possibility to carry some aditional items as EDC.
